Nose had aromatic tones of berry and lemony wheat. Flavor matches with just the slightest hop bitterness that pulls it together late. Light bodied, soft carbonation, fruity finish. Would make a very nice summer brew... Hippystomper (35), Narragansett, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 28, 2007 This stuff is great. Smells amazing. The boysenberry fruitiness is not artificial as I have found with many other fruit beers. Nice and cloudy like an unfiltered wheat should be and the fruit is strong but not overpowering. Maybe not something I could drink more than a couple of because the fruit flavor is so strong, but still most enjoyable. Funknmilla (604), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 26, 2007 This beer pours a cloudy orange with a big-bubbled white head. There are a couple of particles in it. The aroma is full-on boysenberry and a flowery (like hibiscus) aroma from the hops. The bubbles are tingly on the tongue. The body is not as thin as I might have suspected. There is the slightest astringency at the end. There is a nice, light bitterness to the flavor with no sweetness. The fruit offers a soft of tartness. The flavor seems just a bit scattered but I would certainly drink this one again. 1FastSTi (2591), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 26, 2007 Pours to a hazy caramel colored body with a thin white head. The body has a nice vibrancy to it. The aroma is very fruity and wheat bread. Boysenberries. Kind of like the Camp Courageous fruit cake from my home town that I liked. Similarities to green maraschino cherries, walnuts, fruit cake batter, boysenberries. The flavor is fruit-cakey. Strong wheat bread and fruitiness. Malty palate that’s toasty and sweet. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 25, 2007 Pours a hazy golden color with a medium white fluffy head. Aroma is dominated by berries, with undertones of honey and wheat. Same goes for the body, though the wheat is more balanced here. Thin body, at times pleasant and at others too watery. Has a familiar bitterness that all other Sam wheat beers have, but subdued a bit by the berries. I really can’t decide whether I like it or not, but it’s not bad or poorly made, could be a refreshing summer beverage. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 25, 2007 Cloudy golden color. Smell of wheat, flowers, citrus, lavender, flowers and spices. Taste of malt, clove, lavender, flowers, some hops, citrus, bread and a tart bitterness at the end. zach8270 (2140), Henrietta, New York, USA

Loaded with fresh berries. Very inviting. Sadly, the flavor didn’t match it at all. Very sour and grainy with a very light touch of boysenberry. Flavor was not good at all.
