Commercial Description:
Created by Ken Smith, Colorado. Ken describes his brew as having "a refreshing light taste and cereal crispness from the wheat malt." This unfiltered ale has a rich, fresh fruitiness balanced by a citrus note from the Noble hops.

12oz bottle-pours a big creamy off white head and cloudy gold color. Aroma is fruity-boysenberry. Taste is sweet, fruity, boysenberry, creamy wheat, then an unexpected and unpleasant sharpness. OK carbonation.

Off notes from 4/2007. I am actually pretty excited to finally have gotten my hands on the Long Shot series. This is the first bottle I tried. Pours a slightly fogged gold with an amber touch. Almost no head. Nose is basically all berries, but not overpowering in how it comes across. There is also a bit of a floral aspect to it as well. Flavor is kind of interesting really. There is a definite presence of berries, but less so of the wheat character. There is also what I want to describe as a soapy character to the flavor pattern as well. Feel is nice and smooth. Fairly thin on the liquid feel, but not watery by any means. Drinkable, yes. Very well crafted, but seems a bit off balance with the berries. I am very glad to be able to have tried it! Kudos to Ken Smith and the Boston Beer Company.

Beer pours nice enough being slightly cloudy, golden color with a well retained egg white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, maybe blueberry aroma. Flavor was nasty. Maybe my bottle is out of date, however, this beer was sickly sweet with a flavor like someone slipped some urp into my glass. Down the drain she goes!

Poured see through yellow with white head. Strong aroma of berries and wheat. Kind of smelled like Captain Crunch Crunch Berries. Haha. Nice refreshing flavor of berries.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated orange colored body. The aroma was malty and fruity. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt and fruity. Not one that I would likely buy again.

Again, just not my thing. Cloudy hazy wheat body with slight pinkish notes, small white head. Nose of fruit fruit fruit. Taste of fruit and slightly citrus wheat with classic hops in the finish. One is more than enough.

Pours a nice yellow color with a white head. Boysenberry sweetness dominates the aroma.Nice sweet fruit flavor followed by a hint of wheat malt. Nicely balanced for a fruit beer.
