Commercial Description:
Created by Ken Smith, Colorado. Ken describes his brew as having "a refreshing light taste and cereal crispness from the wheat malt." This unfiltered ale has a rich, fresh fruitiness balanced by a citrus note from the Noble hops.

Cloudy orange/golden pour, small white head. Huge boysenberry aroma. Taste is wheat all the way with boysenberry puree in there. creamy mouthfeel, taste was fruity but not tart or sweet just staright fruit and just an easy refreshing good summer beer. I don’t think it should’ve been picked as 1 of the 2 best homebrews in the country thats for sure.

12 oz bottle out of mixed six pack: Really pleasant boysenberry aroma not to over the top and sugary. And somewhat of a wheat nose, but it’s very faint. Appearance is cloudy orange color with a thin soapy white head that lingers at the top of the glass. Taste is not overpowered by the berries at all with a nice grainy wheat texture and nicely creamy on the palate. I thought this was going to be a couch drop of a beer, but it ended up to be a pretty decent flavorful and aromatic brew. Nothing that will blow you away, but definitely better than their cherry wheat.

A hazy blonde ale with a thin white head. A very chemical berry aroma, like cereals for kids. In mouth, a light wheat beeer with light undefined berries. Light bodied. Bottle at 11th Annual CNY Brewfest, Feb.5 2007.

Pale golden color out of the bottle with a fluffy ivory head. It a lot of berry aroma, but it has an underlying medicinal sense to it. This does have a lot of berry flavor that I can only assume is boysenberry, but it tastes to me like cherry flavored cough drops. There is some underlying bread and maybe some orange in the finish, but in general, this is a BERRY beer.

One from the Longshot six pack. Great berry aroma from the second the bottle was open. Average white head. Great boysenberry flavor in the somewhat creamy body. The hops in the finish were mild an unobtrusive. The empty bottle still smelled of boysenberry the next day. I enjoyed this much.

cloudy dark yellow color with a thick white head that dissipates quickly. smell of berries, obviously. and there is a slight smell of hops. there is actually quite a bit of hop taste mixed with the berries. i’m not talking IPA kick you in the mouth hops but hops just the same. not bad

Bottle. Fruity berry aroma fills the air when open the bottle and then again as you pour it. Hazy orange color with a frothy white head that settles a bit but holds firm at about half an inch. very fruity aroma, not usually my thing in a beer but this really smells nice. Grainy flavor with a very full, creamy mouth feel. A bit heavy on the palate for such a light taste; perhaps this beer should be drunk colder but I try to rate everything at 55. Fruity flavor notes; blueberry and apricot notes mostly. Slightly bitter finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy light gold with a creamy white head that coated the glass fairly well as the beer was consumed. Strong aroma of berries. The berries were much less dominating in the flavor than in the aroma. Very nice blance between the berries, some wheat grain, and some moderate bitterness at the finish. This was a very enjoyable fruit beer that I imagine would be quite refreshing on a hot summer day.
