Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Carissa Sweigart. Brewed with ingredients signature to Carissa’s home of Massachusetts this Cranberry Wit is spiced with a blend of cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and grains of paradise, and finished with a touch of cranberry. This bright, fruity and refreshing brew is reminiscent of an autumn day in New England.

Bottle from BevMo. Hazy orange in color. Spiced grainy aroma with a little fruitiness. Nice spiced flavors. A hint of fruit in the finish. Some wheat flavors as well.

Pours a cloudy orange with an off white head. Aroma is malt, a little wheat, some faint cranberry tartness. Flavor was very smooth, a little sweet, just a hint of tart on the back end. This was a very "soft" beer and not what I was really expecting from a cranberry brew. It almost seems like that in an effort to balance out the tartness of the cranberry there was almost to much sweetness added. Interesting and pretty refreshing, but overall just a little to sweet.

Burnished gold appearance, quite cloudy. Aroma was wheat, a hint of spice, predominantly cinnamon and coriander. Cinnamon adds a dash of spiciness to this beer. Faint orange on the finish, faint coriander in the middle, and cranberry apparently adds an undefined fruity tartness at the finish. Not bad, but didn’t enjoy this as much as I had hoped I would.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange golden with a large frothy off white head that leaves behind good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a fruity wheat with yeast and cranberry. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet cranberry flavor and tart. Easy to drink, a good fruit beer from Sam Adams.

Bottle. Pours a very hazy hazel, with a slight reddish tint, and a nice thick head. Aroma of cranberries, wheat, and tart yeast. The flavor is similar, with some nice subtle spices, and tanginess from the cranberries and the yeast. A little too light on flavor, though. Creamy mouthfeel, but with little body. Quite good for the style.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, cranberries, and wheat. The flavor is sweet - very sweet - with light notes of malt, cranberries, and wheat, leading to a dry wheaty finish. Not me.

12 oz bottle: Pours a hazy yellow with a pinkish core and a nice, two-inch head that eventually dies down to a thin layer of foam. Heavily pheonlic nose is earthy and musty. Lighter notes of peach and tart apple lighten the mood. The body is of a medium build, displaying an array of spices that all kind of pile on to tongue at once. Coriander is the easiest to detect for me, with the light brush of cranberry coming in second. Nothing is too out of whack here, but yet everything seems to drive towards a collaborative mish-mash of flavors. I guess I would call this a nice summer refresher that simply lacks the subtle nuances that make wits great. Above average, but nothing too special.

Opaque peachy colour, good lasing. Smooth, lambic like taste, the abv listed was 6.2%. This is part of the mixed six pack. It is drinkable, and grows on you. Above average mouthfeel. Not bad for a fruit beer, it has a bit of yeast in the aroma.
