Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Carissa Sweigart. Brewed with ingredients signature to Carissa’s home of Massachusetts this Cranberry Wit is spiced with a blend of cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and grains of paradise, and finished with a touch of cranberry. This bright, fruity and refreshing brew is reminiscent of an autumn day in New England.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a decent white head and little rings of lace. Aroma is wheat with citrus fruit. Tart, full bodied palate with lots of carbonation. Flavor is wheat with zip. Just a hint of cranberry, but enough. Interesting brew, kudos to Carissa Sweigart.

Pours a cloudy orange. Huge white pillowy head that lasted all the way down. Aroma is dried wheat and yeast. Flavor is lemon and lots of butter, with just a muted hint of cranberry. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy with a cloyingly buttery finish. Just couldn’t get into this one.

I honestly couldn’t tell there were cranberries in any part of this beer. Maybe they were going for just a light touch of the fruit, but it wound up with nothing to smell/taste. The beer pours out yellow/orange color, nice 2" white head but dissipates quickly. A berry aroma, more like a blend of berries than cranberry, light orange notes, and honey. Flavor has some vague sweetness, almost like table sugar, light fruit notes with a bit of bready malts. No cranberry and honestly no real wit character either.

Pours a golden yellow with a nice white head, lots of lacing, medium carbonation. Aroma is sour lemon and spices. The taste is spicy and lightly fruity. Some cranberry and lemon. Pretty watery. Just OK.

Hazy, pale gold, large white head, significant lace. Cranberries and coriander are apparent in the aroma. Flavor based around bitter-fruity cranberry and bitter-pungent spice elements, orange zest, coriander, cinnamon here. They don’t play well together, combining in an edge something like orange juice and toothpaste. Medium body, edgy, leaves a cloying film on the mouth.

12oz bottle–pours a retaining white head and hazy/cloudy orange/gold color. Aroma is mild cranberry, wheat. Taste is mild cranberry, wheat/bready slight lemon hops, yeast. Occasional pee. Mild carbonation. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for sharing.

Bottle - sweet aroma, appearance was good - golden orange with slight haze and white head, off flavors, tasted the orange peel but can’t really find the cranberry full flavor. I think this brew has a very good base (wit) recipe for fruit beers, but cranberry just does’t work for me w/the orange peel. Not bad overall.

attractive hazy golden with a hue of red beneath a nice thick white head. not much nose. thick mouthfeel despite aggressive carbonation. flavor is a bit muddled with mild hop bitterness and an undiscernable fruitiness, not not particularly cranberry, possibly some orange peal. rather dry finish. refreshing, but not terribly well put together
