Smells fruity, with a hint of spice, particularly cinnamon. Much better than I had expected. Very easy to drink. Nothing too offense about this beer. Somewhat light, water, kind of plain, but decent enough. bubbleflubber (898), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2009 Pours a pink(ish) golden into the glass, with a fizzy head that diminishes, leaving light lace. The aroma is of yeast and aerated sugars, possibly some muddy citrus in there. The flavors are underdone, with no complexity. They do contain some sort of cranberry "essence", a muddy tart citrus that is followed by a mixture of hops and wheat/grain. The active carbonation levels add in to form a hollow, seltzer mouthfeel. Seems to be drinkable, but not a lot of substance underneath. It’s ok, but the least of the "Longshot" lot in the sampler pack I was presented. Odeed (1677), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 3, 2009 Pours a cloudy orange.... Aroma of citrus and a touch of cinnamony spice... Flavor is of orange coriander, cinnamon, and a citrusy wheaty finish... Leaves a sweet refreshing taste on the palate... Hint of cranberry but not enough to call it a cranberry wheat... Way better than Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic... A decent overall beer. Indra (2036), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 3, 2009 12oz. bottle. Fairly light aroma of cranberry, sugary sweetness, faintly doughy yeast and wheat malt. Hazy golden amber color with a lasting, fine head and lacing to match. Flavor is sweet and mildly tart, the cranberry appearing about midway through along with some mild hop bitterness, and finishing with a blend of tartness and grainy wheat flavors. Moderately effervescent and gently acidic mouthfeel, body is light-medium. For a beer of this type, not bad at all, really. Better than the Blackberry Wit by this same brewer. Also, I feel the need to comment on a pattern that seems to be emerging from the LongShot releases -- the last go-around there was also a female brewer with a fruit beer, the Grape Pale Ale. Some sort of not-so-subtle underlying message about a female/fruit beer correlation, perhaps, hmmm? egajdzis (3633), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Poured a hazy, reddish golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of coriander, citrus fruits, leather, cranberry, tropical fruit, and light vanilla. Taste of berries, cherry, tart wheat, and citrus. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 2, 2009 6/02/2009: Sam Adams LongShot Cranberry Wit has a fuzzy peach kind of color with a thin, off-white head. Lots of wheat malt is definitely present in the aroma as well as a hint of cinnamon stick. The flavor is very similar with the cinnamon being a bit more pronounced. This beer is becomes sweeter in the middle with notes of clover honey and bready malt and then finishes slightly more dry with additional spice coming through. This beer has a medium-light body and is somewhat refreshing. However, I don’t really pick up any cranberry in either the aroma or flavor whatsoever. For all intensive purposes, that descriptor really could have been left out of the name as I just can’t find any cranberry in this beer. Oh well, it is still decent overall, but I am a bit disappointed. All of that having been said, what is missing from this beer is any artificial flavor and that is a good thing!
12 fl. oz. bottle (Purchase before SEP 2009) from Party Town in Florence, KY. Rating #165 for this beer.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-tan color with a huge yellow-white head. The aroma was tart and bitter berry. The flavor was tart and sweet with vague berries, sugar and yeastiness. There was a light musty dry spice undertone. The finish was long dry berries and musty spice. Decent.
