The aroma is wheaty, with fruity sweetness and a bit of spice. Flavor is also wheaty, with a light cranberry sweetness, citrus, and spice. Better than I expected. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 26, 2009 Pours hazy gold with murky copper core and off white head. The aroma is a mix of orange peel, spices, a dash of tartness and a sense of grain and wheat. The taste starts with both tart and sugar sweetness. It then gets mildly grainy near midway before cranberry notes surface and take over the flavor. It gets mildly spicy into the finish. Pretty refreshing brew but also kind of jumbled or disjointed. fitch256 (26), Boston, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2009 Pours a slightly unappealing yellow, but the cranberry aroma makes up for it. Don’t mistake this for the often mocked Cranberry Lambic. The cranberry taste is subtle, yet noticeable. I’d take this over their Blackberry Wit. A strong attempt at a fruit beer in a category where many come out terribly. bobaidan (370), Farmington, Connecticut, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 26, 2009 Pours light orange with a smallish head.
Aroma is cranberry, spice and some malt. Mouth feel is thin, but lively with carbonation. Flavor is a bit dissapointing. The cranberry is barely noticable and comes across as just a touch of tartness. The other Wit flavors are also in the background. If someone handed me this with no warning, I would consider it a decent ale, but would never think it was cranberry, or a wit. kseecs16 (914), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 26, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a thin off-white bubbly head. Long strings of lacing. Aroma is tart, cranberry with a malty note. Slightly tart flavor with a rich but subtle sweetness. Cranberry flavor present and leaves a tart finish. A nice light fruit style. Light bodied.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 26, 2009 Appearance: Pours a cloudy, dull peach yellow. Starts with a bright white 1/4 inch head that eventually subsides to a stripe.
Aroma: Twangy cranberry, biscuit malt, fruity yeast, and spices.
Taste: Cranberries, tart raspberries, cinnamon, cloves, biscuity malt, and a touch of spicy, bitter hops in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Rather fizzy, a bit thick.
Overall: A bold, flavorful wit bier. I am impressed that Samuel Adams kept the sweetness down. I feel they are trying to keep the non beer lover in the loop with something like Cherry Wheat and Imperial White, but this beer would be a great example for the new and old beer lover. bigrond (1055), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | May 25, 2009 I didn’t care for this one. Where was the fruit?? I didn’t care for the Grape Pale Ale either, so this shouldn’t shock me.
Disappointed but I live. ChainGangGuy (2619), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 25, 2009 Alright, so I have a fervent dislike for their Cranberry Lambic, but I did enjoy their Blackberry Wit. Maybe this Cranberry Wit will find a happy medium with me.
Appearance: Exceptionally hazy, dull amber-hued body with a smallish, fizzy, white head.
Smell: Aroma of soft wheat, French bread innards, spices, dried citrus peel, and with the tart-scented, fruit whiffs of cranberries.
Taste: Barley and lightly toasted wheat yield a light, delicate sweetness. Moderate touches of citrus and spices follow, and, of course, there’s the tart, everso lightly acidic cranberry addition. Very meager hint of bitterness. Finishes spicy, semi-dry, and fairly crisp. There’s a vague lingering tartness beyond the finish and a slight taste of cinnamon.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Crisp, playfully vibrant carbonation.
Drinkability: It’s acceptable, decent even, but I’d sooner reach for the Blackberry Wit. That’s just me, though!
