Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Carissa Sweigart. Brewed with ingredients signature to Carissa’s home of Massachusetts this Cranberry Wit is spiced with a blend of cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and grains of paradise, and finished with a touch of cranberry. This bright, fruity and refreshing brew is reminiscent of an autumn day in New England.

12 oz bottle from Whole Foods. Split with JRedmond. A delicious concept. Pour is very hazy looks like a beaut. Mouth is very sugary, which makes it tart/sour. Not a ton of Cranberry, but some. Possibly white cranberry. Good if you’re drinking 4 oz’s or so.

Bottle from Party Town, KY. Poured a hazy golden yellow color with a large white fizzy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium sweet berrry aroma. Medium body with smooth texture and lively carbonation. Moderate sweet berry flavor with a smooth moderate sweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting sweet session beer.

Aroma of wheat, with a touch of cranberry. Pours a hazy orange, with a thin white head. The taste starts as a standard wheat, with the hint of spices, then a bit of tartness from the cranberry is noticeable. Decent length tart finish. Not a bad wheat, but there’s others I prefer more.

a couldy orangish tinted pour with a hint of pink and a glorious white head. The best thing about this beer is the head lasts a long, long time. You know, I just love that. Lacing is good. Aroma is malty and sweet. Flavor definitely has the cranberry bitterness and sweetness in it. Pretty nice on a hot day. Heavy malt backbone, so this beer is full bodied and fully satisfying. Finish is somewhat dry and lively on the roof of the mouth.

Pours a very hazy and bright orange with a big creamy white head that stays on as an impressive cap with tons of bubbles flowing up from the bottom. Lacing is impressive as well. The aroma is lightly sweet with plenty of spices. There are the faint requisite lemony wheat sweetness with coriander as the dominant spice. The cranberries are present but very subtle. The taste has more cranberry presence than the aroma and has a quite tartness up front that gives way quickly to wheat background. The spices are very subtle and come out in the finish with a peppery spice character. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with very active carbonation. I enjoyed this beer, though the flavors could have been ramped up a bit as they came across a little bit thin. Still a good beer for sipping in the sun.

12 oz bottle from Spirits. Pours a pretty good looking slightly hazed orange with a full thick fluffy bright white head that has some nice staying power. Malty aroma of cereal grains, fresh cut grass and something in the background that seems like a rotting orange. Flavor has perhaps the slightest hint of cranberry and just seems like some sort of macro fruit wanna be beer. Meh.......

Bottled. Pours grapefruit colored with a white head. Aroma is wheat with no evidence of cranberry. Flavor is rather bland. Tastes like a generic wheat beer. Cannot taste any cranberry. Thin body.

Bottle. Pours light, opaque apricot with a nice white head and good lacing. Aroma of cracked wheat, light cranberry/raspberry, some clove. Mouthfeel is smoother and richer than I expected, some prickliness coming in later. Light toasted wheat, herbs and mild fruit. Sweet aftertaste. Not sure the fruit quality comes off as fresh as I would like it. Overall, decent beer but doesn’t excite me.
