Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Carissa Sweigart. Brewed with ingredients signature to Carissa’s home of Massachusetts this Cranberry Wit is spiced with a blend of cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and grains of paradise, and finished with a touch of cranberry. This bright, fruity and refreshing brew is reminiscent of an autumn day in New England.

Bottled. Pours grapefruit colored with a white head. Aroma is wheat with no evidence of cranberry. Flavor is rather bland. Tastes like a generic wheat beer. Cannot taste any cranberry. Thin body.

Bottle. Pours light, opaque apricot with a nice white head and good lacing. Aroma of cracked wheat, light cranberry/raspberry, some clove. Mouthfeel is smoother and richer than I expected, some prickliness coming in later. Light toasted wheat, herbs and mild fruit. Sweet aftertaste. Not sure the fruit quality comes off as fresh as I would like it. Overall, decent beer but doesn’t excite me.

12 oz. bottle served in flute- poured semi transparent darkened peach color, low carbonation, foamy white head formed, laced, and lasted for several minutes. Aroma of cranberries and various tart fruits with a note of wheat. Hits the mouth with a light body, various spices immediately hit the mouth, tangy sensations come in the middle, finish has a wheat taste defining it. Refreshing.

Evenly hazed orange yellow with an inch of white head. Aroma is of ginger, honey and tart fruit. Taste has those elements with a strong biscuity malt, and light diacetyl (?) buttery note.

12oz bottle. Pours a very hazy apricot with a very rich thick long lasting head. Smells malty, wheaty, and earthy. Tastes very wheaty, spicy, slighly sour cranberry flavor, a little metallic, and yeasty. Nicely carbonated. Sweet and sour aftertaste. Very nice and different.

Poured out with yeast clouds and a hazed out sunset orange. Aroma is yeast, lemon peel, spiced grains, and wheat. Slighty acidic, lemon citrus, spiced grains, wheat, and just a kiss of cranberry. Faint and thin mouthfeel. But I must say it does serve the purpose of refreshment!

Crushed with Jakebra. Hmm. Not much of anything in any way in this brew. It’s not bad, there’s just nothing to it. Bland wheat flavor with minimal fruitiness.
