Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Carissa Sweigart. Brewed with ingredients signature to Carissa’s home of Massachusetts this Cranberry Wit is spiced with a blend of cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and grains of paradise, and finished with a touch of cranberry. This bright, fruity and refreshing brew is reminiscent of an autumn day in New England.

Series thanks to Daknole :) Hazy peach color, white head. Skanky yeast aroma, pedio?, yogurt, smells like a waxy fruit-flavored lip gloss. Prickly mouthfeel but decent body. Tastes better than smells. Decent gran backbone saves the body from becoming obliterated, the fruit isn’t too candy-like, and the spices tame it. Not very cranberry-like, more like a fruit cocktail version of cranberry. Decent grainy and natural fruity bitter aftertaste. Except for aroma better than expected, and refreshing.

Pours a cloudy light golden hue, creamy head eventually dissipates. Nose is light cranberries, spices, honey, wheat, and citrus. Flavor is more floral and light fruits with wheat backbone, cranberry is less salient than in the aroma, finishes with light sweetness that persists. Light-bodied, thin and watery texture, active carbonation. A decent wheat beer with light fruit and spice accents, would have liked to see more prominent cranberry in the flavor.

This is the one I liked the least of the series. Pours cloudy orange with a off pink head. Light aroma, a little sour. I thought it was a little thin. Average.

The aroma is somewhat sour and funky with cranberry, wheat, spice, honey, citrus, and malted barley. The appearance is hazy gold with a red hue. The head is soft and foamy. The palate is smooth but thin. Overall it’s OK but that’s all.

The brew glows a cloudy pumpkin hue with a tall cap of white head. Aroma and flavor bring a yeasty brew with an enormous amount of cinnamon, coriander, and orange peel… very spicy. A funky cranberry, somewhat barnyard aroma, which I dig. Finish is a nice middle ground of tart and spicy, and it’s pretty damn chewy! Overall, I would buy this one by the 6pk. I drink the hell out of DFH Festina Peche in the Summers… this could work also!

bottle thanks to swalden28. i will admit i was expecting this to be pretty bad, but was a little suprised. poured a nice looking hazed orange with a pinkish hue. aroma was not overpowering at all with coriander, orange, cinnamon, and a small hint maybe of cranberry. flavor was orange, blend of spices (maybe cinnamon and nutmeg)and finished with some dryness. body was light-medium with medium carbonation. really not as foul as i was expecting.

This is really not nearly as bad as I imagined. The fruit is well-restrained, which I find of immense importance. Quite good.
