Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Carissa Sweigart. Brewed with ingredients signature to Carissa’s home of Massachusetts this Cranberry Wit is spiced with a blend of cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and grains of paradise, and finished with a touch of cranberry. This bright, fruity and refreshing brew is reminiscent of an autumn day in New England.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy peach-colored light orange with just a slight pinkish tint and a small white head. Aroma of wheaty malt, light spices (cinnamon?), and sweet fruits. Flavor is wheat upfront, more stale wheat than crackery/bready though. Fruit is light and in the background, definitely not overwhelming, just a touch of sweetness in the end. This is similar in approach to the cherry wheat, just with cranberry obviously. Nicely done. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

Pours a murky orange with a very solid, foamy, white head with a higher carbonation. Aroma is very light with mostly a solid wheat aroma and then a light cranberry background. The flavor begins with an almost indiscernible cranberry note and quickly moves into a pure wheat presence with a kinda cream soda like ending and slightly sour. The cranberry tartness seems to mesh up better for the style than Sams mass produced Blackberry Wit. Overall the beer is drinkable, unique and is good but lacks the "wow" factor reminiscent of other LongShot beers.

Pours a hazy reddish orange with a large foamy white head that laced. Aroma of cranberries, yup the berries are up front in this band as expected, yet not overly artificial. Some lingering sweet malts and light wheat but not much wit character. Flavor of the same, cranberry flavor is decent but not much Wit character.

Bottle. Aroma of cranberry (juice), wheat, diacetyl, all followed by suddenly massive cinnamon and allspice. Flavor sees the cranberry and wit aspects combine to make some off-putting sour wheat notes along with the diacetyl, though all the spicing does come in to sort of push out some of the diacetyl. Not a COMPLETE mess, but not all that good either.

Nice looking golden color with a citrus-grainy aroma. Flavor has some light bread, citrus, cranberry, and general wit qualities. Not bad for what it is - always seems like they have to offer a pretty weak Longshot brew for the masses.

Cloudy orange and grapefruit colors with some brown hue and a nice fluffy head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with some light spice. Taste is sweet and wheaty, cranberry, plum and some citrus. Nice spice aspect to it also. Pretty refreshing and good.

Both bottles were enjoyed after a pleasing day spent out in the yard. A good warm weather quencher that I surely enjoyed. A sharp, tangy, fruity aroma perks up the senses. Cinnamon is readily evident as well as a medley of miscellaneous spices. Cloudy orange color with a reddish tint. A lasting white head and heavy lacing create a nice appearance. Mouthfeel is faintly tart and light bodied. Dry wheat and grassy malt with a nice orange-lemon citrus taste. Mild cranberry tartness and heavily spices. The cinnamon really stands out in this beer, and it works well. I’m a fan.

12oz bottle served in a shaker pint. Poured a hazy gold with a hint of pink. About two fingers of big bubbled white head. Plenty of berry in the aroma with some wheaty spice. Plenty of carbonation as per style. More berry in the flavor, but not overly sweet. This is a fairly dry beer. Pretty complex flavors. The berry is fairly subtle. Nice spicy finish from the yeast. I had low expectations for this beer, but it is very nice.
