Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Carissa Sweigart. Brewed with ingredients signature to Carissa’s home of Massachusetts this Cranberry Wit is spiced with a blend of cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and grains of paradise, and finished with a touch of cranberry. This bright, fruity and refreshing brew is reminiscent of an autumn day in New England.

Pours cloudy golden with contrasting white head that retains fairly well, and laces fairly well. Nose is somewhat muted, even in my snifter. Fresh mixed citrus comes through. No huge cranberry. Palate is a nice sweet/sour generic fruity flavor that could be in any witbier, and the cranberry takes a role that isn’t boldly cranberry. It’s not like a lambic or other big fruit beer. This is more subtle. Good drinkability, but I’m not sure how this one deserves to share the Longshot 6-pack with the other two fine beers.

Appearance is cloudy amber with very little head at all. If this has cranberry, I didn’t taste it. To me, personally, it tastes like any generic lager. A bit of a hops bitter note on the end. Didn’t much care for this one, though I guess it would be refreshing on a hot day.

I am not a big cranberry fan. But this was a stand up beer for a style I do not like. Smells like cranberry and tastes like cranberry.

12 oz bottle thanks to Craig. Pours a cloudy peachy color. A medium sized white head. Nose is faint cranberry, coriander, and a light bread. Flavors are light bread flavors with light touched of cranberry, and orange peel. Mouth is like soda, reminds me of a 7up drink with a slight creamy texture.
