Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Carissa Sweigart. Brewed with ingredients signature to Carissa’s home of Massachusetts this Cranberry Wit is spiced with a blend of cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and grains of paradise, and finished with a touch of cranberry. This bright, fruity and refreshing brew is reminiscent of an autumn day in New England.

Pours a cloudy orange golden with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt and a healthy dose of cranberry fruitiness. Starts with decent fullness and a mild coriander spice with good cranberry flavor before a slightly drier, thinner finish. Pretty well balanced and a unique take on the style.

12 oz bottle poured into a glass. Pours a pale golden orange color with a thick white one finger head. It has a wheat aroma with a hint of cranberry aroma. It tastes of biscuit, citrus, cinnamon, spices and cranberry. This beer is delicious and complex. Sam Adams best fruit beer in my opinion.

12oz bottle obtained at Hannaford. Pours a murky amber-yellow body with an inch of slowly-dissipating off-white head. Smells faintly fruity, slightly nutty and pithy... Tastes fruity, pithy, with some lemon, lime, and nut notes. Fairly light in body with ample carbonation. Honestly, not that impressed. Shooting for a witbier, cranberry fruit beer, and kind of misses the mark on both IMO. It doesn’t taste that fruity and it doesn’t taste much like a witbier. I mean, it’s not horrible, and I was able to finish it, but it didn’t do much for me.

Surprisingly good cranberry beer. Dry palate. Nose of cranberry and cinnamon. These come through on the flavor if served properly.

Nice cranberry aroma, flavor seemed a little unbalanced, like drinking carbonated cranberry juice, let it warm a little and the cinnamon started to come through. palette left a dry slightly bitter finish. not bad, but not that good either. defiantly let this one sit out of the fridge for a few minutes before you dive in, its worth it.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow orange with a ton of carbonation. Big sticky white head. Taste is lightly sweet at first then just a smidge tangy bitter from the cranberry. Very well balanced. The aroma is slightly confusing, like it is trying to do too much. Lightly spicy, lightly fruity, lightly wheaty. It hits all the notes without highlighting any of them. In the end, I am left with a beer that is pleasant to drink but not highly memorable thanks to its indistinct nose.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Appearance: On top there is a small (one finger thick) off white head. It quickly settles down to a thin ring of foam that leaves behind some lace rings on the glass. Smell: Its aroma is fruity, spicy, and tangy with notes of wheat and citrus as well. Taste/Mouth: The flavor has a nice wheat malt base with orange citrus notes, tart cranberry and solid dose of fine Saigon cinnamon. Hop favor and bitterness are very mild. It finishes dry with wheat tang and spice. The texture is lively with plenty of soft carbonation in a medium body. Notes: This is by far the best fruit beer from Samuel Adams! I would love to see this in there regular line up!!

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a hazy reddish golden with an off-white head leaving laces. Spicy, berry-like nose - perhaps with a hint of cinnamon. Light in body, soft in mouthfeel, lightly sweet berry notes and again this whiff of cinnamon. The finish is dry completely lacking any bitterness. But fairly pleasant and quaffable. 100709
