Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Carissa Sweigart. Brewed with ingredients signature to Carissa’s home of Massachusetts this Cranberry Wit is spiced with a blend of cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and grains of paradise, and finished with a touch of cranberry. This bright, fruity and refreshing brew is reminiscent of an autumn day in New England.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a hazy reddish golden with an off-white head leaving laces. Spicy, berry-like nose - perhaps with a hint of cinnamon. Light in body, soft in mouthfeel, lightly sweet berry notes and again this whiff of cinnamon. The finish is dry completely lacking any bitterness. But fairly pleasant and quaffable. 100709

I’m really impressed with this one. The only thing I would change is maybe make it a tad less sweet. Right now the sweetness is about on par with Summer Ale, which is fine though. This is a nice full bodied ale that will quench the thirst and leave no bad aftertaste. Highly recommend. I do not know the alcohol content of this one, but I would guess it is around 5-5.5%.

Pours a cloudy orange color with small lingering foamy head. Aroma mainly berry and spice; hint of tropical fruit. Taste is definitely berry, some tartness, sweet wheaty malt, some zesty spiciness, mild hops. Highly carbonated. This is pretty good...aftertaste is a little funky and seems a little artificial, but refreshing and a good summer cooler.

12 oz. bottle into a glass Nice two finger white head on a nice orange beer. Aroma is soft wheat and a hint of fruity sweet. The flavor is wheat beer with a touch of tart and sweet and subtle spices on the exhale. Needs more of the stated flavors to stand out. Also, gets very sweet by the time the glass is finished.

Bottle poured a hazy pinkish gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, yeast, spice and light cranberry. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of wheat, spice, cookie and light cranberry with a smooth dry spiced fruity finish.

Bottle. Hazy peachish golden. Smells of wet grass and beer-tent beer. Flavor is not bad considering the scent. Lightly bittersweet with a hint of fruit- I’d have a hard time saying "cranberry," but whatever. It’s drinkable.

The appearance is ultra-cloudy carrot orange. Pillowy pure white head. Self-illuminating. An ant farm of lace. The smell is sour fruits, strong cranberry cocktail aroma. Prickly wheat base gives a dry wheat balance. The taste is that dry wheat base with a bready yeast presence. Sour like a lambic, but also dry and grounded like a yeasty Belgian white. A little too mild, but pleasant. The feel is a dry, bready wheat feel. A little like orange juice. It’s a light and summery sour ale. Like a cranberry lambic but lighter and with a dry feel.
