| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 31, 2007 A clear yellow appearance with a large white head. A faint hay and lemon aroma. The flavor is rather malty and sweet with a some lemons, corn, and honey. Some bitterness in the finish. This seems to be dead on for the style. Overall a good effort and it would be good for some hot weather lawnmower sessions. jhumphries69 (728), Tyrone, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 31, 2007 Updated: Jul 10, 2007Pours a very brilliant and clear gold with a thin white head. The head starts somewhat thick, but dissipates disappointingly quickly. It does leave loads of lace on the walls of the glass though. The aroma is grainy, somewhat grassy, with some yeast and some hops. The flavor starts malty sweet with some yeast and some hops. The hop bitterness grows as it reaches the back of the tongue. The hops are well balanced. The sweet malt flavors are somewhat grainy and have hints of honey. The finish is bittersweet with hops and bready, sugary malts. It ends full-bodied with an after-taste of European hops. The mouthfeel is full and crisp from carbonation. Overall, decent - but not as special as the previous years’ LongShot brews (back in the 90’s there were six of these, all based on award-winning homebrew recipes, just like the current year’s three flavors). Aroma is sweet grainy malt with a bit of mild European hops. The flavor is very grainy and grassy, sweetened with some malt, with noticeable European hops and a bit of bitterness. A pretty decent lager, though a bit rough around the edges. jason (1623), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2007 Bottle Poured a deep golden color with nice size head. Aroma is of grainy malt, crisp, and a small scent of honey. Flavor was sweetened with the malt, honey and at times felt too sugary. Very bitter but not balanced enough to really become enjoyable. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA

Very tough to open the box. The beer, while the aroma is nice, a mild European grassy hop I found the taste and overall to be nothing more than a regular Sam Adams. Kind of disappointing and glad I got on sale. jsquire (2107), St. Marys, Ohio, USA

Very flavorful beer. Light shortbread maltiness with some orange sweetness. Slightly oily on the tongue. Finish has light lemon. Very enjoyable drink and good with food. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 28, 2007 The body was light gold with a white colored head. The aroma was bologna and turnips. I could not smell much else. The taste was apple cores with some meaty notes. There was also some plain cake donut taste. Close to the style, but I am not a fan of this style.
