Mar 27, 2007 This is the lowest rated of the three longshots this year, but it’s the best of the three in my opinion. Gorgeous gold color, perfectly clear with a good bone-white head with great retention. The aroma is nice. Solid straw malt, a bit of hops. The flavor isn’t quite as good as the aroma, but it’s still got a nice lager maltiness. Toss in a few more hops and this becomes a pretty good German pilsner. I likes.

Mar 26, 2007 bit of a grazzy/floral aroma, well balanced body, has a bit of a sweet syrupy taste. Nothing too amazing, just a decent brew.

Mar 26, 2007 Microfine white head which quickly disperses. Slightly darker than light golden color. Nice tastes of german-style hops. Not overly bitter, but enough there to remind you there’s hops in there. Not my favorite of the three ’06 Longshots, but an OK beer none-the-less.However, not something I’d necessarily buy if it was for sale by itself.

Mar 26, 2007 possibly the most translucent beer i’ve ever seen. almost no head. aroma is yucky lagerish. i get some saaz hops. kinda tastes like an old good pilsener or maybe a bad european beer import posing as good beer (like a heineken). pretty crappy.

Mar 24, 2007 12oz bottle-A golden color for the body and has an aroma of malts and grass. Taste of malt and corn and a small amount of hops. Not a bad tasting brew.

Mar 24, 2007 Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear medium golden color with a thin layer of off-white bubbles and some lacing. Aroma is of sweet malts, spice and grass. Taste is of sweet malts and grassy hops with orange peel and spice. Light to medium bodied with playful carbonation and smooth. Ending is of grassy hops with spice notes.
