Aroma was horrible, reminded me of puke + prima pils. Poured a golden pee color with barely any head. Taste was smooth, but the aftertaste was nasty. argo0 (6967), Washington DC, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 21, 2007 Spot on to style. It must be doing something right if my wife likes it. Clean and crisp hops with a decent smattering of bready maltiness provides a very easy to drink special release. Can we get some more? Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 21, 2007 Relatively interesting, bigger flavor profile than many. Strains of sweet and dry, with a notable hop bite and lingering flavor over a lightly malty/chewy body. Given my experience with three LongShot beers so far, it wouldn’t hurt Sam Adams if they threw out all of their recipes and let good homebrewers brew for them instead. jazz88 (2238), San Francisco, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 21, 2007 Bottle. A medium golden color with a foamy white head. A moldy malt aroma with a dry biscut flavor. Grainy and herbal flavors with a long aftertaste. Apellonious (53), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2007 "What is this???", I think to myself as I scan the beer selection at the local Teeter. Three new microbrews in one six with the backing of Sammy.
So I tried them. This one is a classic lager, with a little more on the taste side. Pours a golden orange color, little to no head (which is a shame, as I am a fan of good head).
You can get a faint sense of the hops, definitely some smooth malt, with a slighlty bitter (the good bitter) on the finish.
I see this being an excellent summer beer. I don’t know how long Sammy will run this, but I would reccomend trying it if you are fan of the lager/pilsner style and like there to be some taste involved. rocbyter (921), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA
