| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 10, 2007 Golden pour with a rocky, yet short lasting white head. Yeast and grassy aroma. Taste is pretty agressive for this style. Earthy, hay, bisquit towards the middle. Sweet finish. I like dortmunders and this is almost as good as Thomas Hooker. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 10, 2007 I bought the mixed 6 pack simply in order to try this. Wonderful , huge aroma with great clean malt driving forward and a little bit of grassy and citric notes in relief. The flavor is a very similar experience. There is a lot of rich pale malt flavor which you find in the best of this awesome style, coming across with a geat deal of sweetness. The hops hit at just the right time, making this beer wonderfully balanced. I assume this is pasteurized, like their others. I can’t imagine how great this would be if it were not. Overall, reminds me of a richer version of Dominion Lager.
