Nose is perfume and a little bit of biscuity maly underneath. Thin, watery mouthfeel. Not much going on in the flavor - a bit floral. jimhilt (1680), Bow, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 9, 2007 12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. From the six-pack of Longshot beers. Poured out a light golden yellow color, with a minimal white head. Left a decent lacing on the side of the glass though. Sweet malts greet the nose, followed by that typical lager yeast funkiness. Flavors are of sweet malts, well balanced by the bitterness of the hops. Decent body, rich mouthfeel. Almost chewy in texture. Decent take on the style overall. This is one hard beer to homebrew, let me tell you. DrnkMcDermott (1849), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 8, 2007 Updated: Jun 5, 2009Bottle. Family Liquors just got the LongShot sixpacks in today, so I can pop a nice fresh German style lager for once. This has a respectable noble hop nose. In a mug, it kicks up a big fluffy head that sinks to a lacy coating in a few minute. Golden pils color, the way we think remember Grandpa’s beers looking. Toasty pils malt taste is in fact nicely counterpointed by, I’m guessing, Saaz hops. Actually somewhat alcoholic aftertaste. It is a darn nice lager from a fresh bottle. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2007 Poured a dark golden color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of honey, toffee, doughy malts, light citrus, and floral hops. Taste of more doughiness, with toffee, lemon, citrus, and a lightly bitter, dry, finish. alexanderj (2252), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 8, 2007 First rate for the style. Poured a very clear gold, not much head. Aroma of honey, bread and caramel. Taste was very much similar with a slight hop presence; a pretty good mouth feel, mediumish body. A pretty good blend of flavors, maybe a slight too much grainy flavor. But not too detracting. This style is new, so I don’t want to talk out of my ass too much. Enjoyable, but not fantastic. guzzler67 (1280), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 7, 2007 Clear gold appearance with medium size white head and good lacing. Pleasant, although somewhat muted, toasted malt aroma with a hint of honey. Sweet malt taste, grainy, a touch of butterscotch, mild fruitiness. Moderately hopped, medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. travita (1920), Frisco, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 6, 2007 Small head with a dark golden color. Almost no aroma. The flavor is not bad but does not have the balance that there should be in a dortmunder.
