Commercial Description:
Bruce describes his classic German-style lager as "pale gold in color with a blend of Pilsner maltiness and a mild hops aroma. The bitterness is just enough to balance the taste of the malt." Bruce is a former music teacher who began homebrewing 13 years ago when his wife gave him a kit for Christmas. He has since become an accomplished homebrewer and shares his knowledge and passion for beer by teaching classes in homebrewing and beer appreciation.

Thanks to unclejedi for the bottle. Been wanting to try this one for a very long time since FL sucks and didn’t get these beers. Golden amber pour, no head, just some loosely collected bubbles and foam. At first I get a big whif if skunky, funked hops, but that goes away very quickly. What’s left is pleasing - sweet crystal malts, grains, citrus hops. Flavor could stand to be a bit more concentrated, but it’s not bad by any means. Citrus malty notes and a pleasing bitter kick. Finish is sweet folding into slight bitterness. Very nice, not as good as the Boysenberry but again a bit underrated I think.

Upon the pour from the 12 ounce bottle it displays a clear gold, a creamy white head piles on top of the body, with its eventual demise, the lace forms a velum like coating upon the glass. Nose has delectable malt sweetness, citrus line in its crispness, hops also make an appearance with a flowery tones, start has a rich malt profile, sweet with the hops providing a bit of “Twang” at the back. Finish has a spirited acidity, the hops deliciously spicy, aftertaste dry, and a “marvelous” beer overall.

12 oz bottle. Hazy dark yellow with a nice white head. Smells malty but the taste is more balanced. A clean finish with a little bit of bitterness. Very drinkable.

Pretty drinkable, but not very memorable. Malt, caramel, not much hops. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Not offensive, but nothing I’d write home about.

Golden color. Smell of malt, hops, minor fruit, bread and wheat. Taste of the same and also tart. Taste of more fruit and a touch of honey also.
