Commercial Description:
Bruce describes his classic German-style lager as "pale gold in color with a blend of Pilsner maltiness and a mild hops aroma. The bitterness is just enough to balance the taste of the malt." Bruce is a former music teacher who began homebrewing 13 years ago when his wife gave him a kit for Christmas. He has since become an accomplished homebrewer and shares his knowledge and passion for beer by teaching classes in homebrewing and beer appreciation.

12oz bottle-pours a foamy white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is light-malt, grain, secondary citrus/herbal hops. Taste is light-malt, grain, secondary citrus/herbal/spicy hops. OK carbonation. Slight syrupy yet semi-dry mouth feel.

Pours gold with a white creamy head. Smells of malt and nuts. Taste is nutty with some peppery splashes. Not very representative of the style, IMO.

Pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of pale malt, light grassy hops and a bit of apple in the nose as well. The body is sweetish and on the underattenuated side. A bit peachy with pale bready malt. Finishes a little bit flinty which is nice, but the beer could have used another month in the lagering tanks.

Nose is faint butter, light corn meal and almost like a malt liquor. Has a decent cracker and biscuit malt flavor in the finish, but otherwise it’s a bit of a syrupy sweet mess. The more I drink the less I like it.
