Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Lili Hess, Hawaii This is a very creative spin on a pale ale. As Lili describes it, "It’s like you are drinking a pale ale after biting into a fresh green seedless grape." This delicate brew is light-bodied with unique sweet, yet dry flavors from the grapes. What a combination...

Bottle. Body-deep gold/light brown body with a lasting 1 inch foamy head. Very pleasing to the eyes. Nose-stale crystal malt, lightly soapy, champagne, macroness. Taste-cheap hard grape candy, watered down unsweet grape Kool-Aid, high CO2, cherry, like a heavy, sweet, slightly fruity macro.

I enjoy this beer, its got an English quality with a mild hint of grape at the end, still its got character.

Bottle. Sweet malt in the nose, but not specifically grape and no hint of hops as you’d expect from a pale. Hazy dark amber body with a hint of violet? Some visible carbonation. Thin white head. No lace to speak of. Nice color though. There’s very little grape in the flavor. You have to strain to detect it. Maybe a hint of white grape although the commercial description speaks of green seedless grape. Softly carbonated and a little creamy. Moderate sweetness. A bit more sweetness would have been nice. From the less than stellar rumblings I’d heard on this beer, I expected a really sweet, almost grape juice-like brew. Not at all. Very drinkable, grape essence detectable only because you know it’s there. A very nice brew, and again, underrated.

Bottle: Bright golden pour with a smidgen of citrus hops and maltiness. Flavor is hoppy and a bit fruity, but the grape certainly doesn’t stand out. Decent effort, but unexciting.

a very queer little beer... pours a basic orange-light brown colour .. good head, some dissipation ... somewhat muted aroma, some light sweetness, could a A grape?... Taste is muddled, overly sweet and strangely bittered- doesn’t seem to fit the name or style.. a big disappointment, i can see why a Sam Adams employee won the right for this to be brewed... it doesn’t suck and is somewhat enjoyable but needs something...?

Pours a clear copper color with a white head. Aroma is crystal malts, a hint of sweet grapes, and some piney hops. Flavor is malty, grapes, and a light bitter earthy hop finish.

Pours a three finger white head that fades to a thin layer leaving some lace. Crystal clear amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Not much nose. Flavor sweetish, hops are balancing rather than the usual bite of a pale, clean finish. Would make a good summer beer. $1.50 12oz bottle from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH.

Bottle Pours out a light amber topped with a cream white head. Aroma of I guess light grape some malt. Tast kind of like a amber. I can’t pick up the grape much. Not to bad.
