Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Lili Hess, Hawaii This is a very creative spin on a pale ale. As Lili describes it, "It’s like you are drinking a pale ale after biting into a fresh green seedless grape." This delicate brew is light-bodied with unique sweet, yet dry flavors from the grapes. What a combination...

12 oz bottle pours typical amber color. Aroma is fruity and sweet. Flavor is sweet and malty with a slightly bitter bite in the finish. A little to sweet for my liking.

Bottle pours crystal clear amber with audible fizzy head and no lace. The aroma is malty and honey like; perhaps some grape there. The flavor is malty, grassy, ale fruit notes leaning towards grape, honey, and Cheerios. The palate is a bit thin to medium rich and fizzy. Overall, this is interesting at best. I suppose it works OK enough, but not my favorite. Now I have two others to have to consume...

Aroma brings delicate caramel malt notes with a touch of fruitiness, but nothing that is clearly a grape aroma. Flavor is lightly malty with a tart snap laying on the sides of the tongue. The only clue that there is grape in here is when you breathe out. Very subtle, but in a good way. Nice long lingering fruity finish.

Pours a transparent copper amber color with a lacing, thin, slightly off white head. Look hard for the aroma and I guess you’ll find grapes and biscuit but too weak to even be called subtle. Flavor is really weak, malt doesn’t really assert itself until the very end and even then there’s just a touch. Otherwise the flavor is of fruit juice (apple/grape). Finish is watery with a touch of lasting sweetness. Side by side with the Longshot Weizenbock this is child’s play. Maybe it didn’t translate well from the home brew to the big kettles at Sam Adams, but this was a BIG miss for me. Finishing a beer this forgettable really makes me wonder how in the world this beer was chosen for mass production,

Pours a nice copper colour with an off white head. Aroma was medium malt, almost a flat ginger-ale aroma, some light herbal hoppiness. A bit flat tasting as well. Caramel maltiness balanced by a fruity bitterness.

Poured a clear yellow-gold with a small head. Aroma is a bit corny...no grape at all. Flavor is not at all like biting into a grape. More like a sweet ale with some musty notes. Not offensive but really pretty mediocre.

Copper amber color. Smell of apples, malt, hops and minor caramel. Almost smells like a caramel apple. Taste of hops, malt, sugar, grain and tart. Bitter at the end.

12oz bottle-pours a rich offwhite head with copper color. Aroma is caramel-medium malt, secondary earthy hops, light/medium fruit. Taste is balanced caramel-medium malt, earthy/spicey hops, light/medium fruit. OK/mild carbonation.
