Commercial Description:
Created by Samuel Adams Employee Lili Hess, Hawaii This is a very creative spin on a pale ale. As Lili describes it, "It’s like you are drinking a pale ale after biting into a fresh green seedless grape." This delicate brew is light-bodied with unique sweet, yet dry flavors from the grapes. What a combination...

Bottle poured a clear copper with a small lasting light amber head. Aromas of bread, light grape and a hint of carmel. Palate was light bodied and smootrh. Flavors of straw, bread, light carmel and light grape with a smooth dry fruity finish.

12-oz bottle. Pours clear copper with a small, fizzy, white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, meal, cereal), average hops (flowers, grass, fruit), light yeast (earth) with notes of grapes. Light bodied, thin texture, average carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Pours a translucent golden amber with a n average bubbly off white head. Aroma of sweet malts, grains, some caramel, honey, some grapes and just the slightest touch of hops. Flavor of grape skins, honey, some caramel and bready notes, a touch of hop bitterness, on the dry side with a touch of sweetness. If this won the top spot in the Longshot Comp I have a feeling the original beer was a bit different then this.

Not a good beer. Didnt taste grapes at all, just a bad beer. I can taste a hint of maple syrup, but this beer should never have won ANYTHING.

Bottle. White wine and barley malt aroma. Amber color with small head - highly effervescent. Under-ripe grape and barley malt flavor. Unique.

In the bottle at the 2008 Crescent Moon Extreme Beerfest. Pours dark gold with a white head. The finish is a bit wine-like, but I don’t really get strong grape flavors. I don’t think that I understand this beer. Not something I’d recommend.

Some artificial grape flavor. Moderate hops, really a light pale ale. I don’t think I would notice the grape if I wasn’t expecting it to be there. Well carbonated, and a bright gold color.

Sent a photo in to be uploaded. Aroma is of grapes, bitterness and some moderate citrus hops. Large, rocky, off-white head with good lacing but only fair retention. Clear, medium, orangey body. Taste is sweet with no real strong grape character. Pretty boring. Watery body with fizzy carbonation, pales in comparison to the other longshot that it is paired with.
