Musty malt flavor with light fruitiness and light earth. Medium bodied. Malty, grape, musty, earth all lingering. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada

Amber, small custard head. Taste has a nice malty start, a good hop bite. Light bodied, balanced, easy drinking. Good stuff. Thanks Torontoblue. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Pours amber with a small white head. The grapes didn’t play a big part, hints here and there, but shy and probably good that it was that way. The pale was soft on the malts, lightly hopped in the finish, fruity and a touch citrusy. Not a bad beer, but i’m a bit shocked it won its way to the Longshot series. after4ever (2806), Brier, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Feb 27, 2009 12-oz, Thanks, Headbanger! Pours a slightly hazy medium amber with ruby highlights in the center. Slight head of off-white and gray. Nose smells more like red apples than green grapes. Creamy medium body with soft but moderately assertive carb. Bready malts underneath a loose, fairly synthetic-tasting wash of fruit flavor. Some sort of generic red fruit punch note, basically. Not sure what all this talk of green grapes is about, to be honest. DuffMan (2769), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 29, 2008 Really deep brassy gold, clear. Soft white head. Sweet juice-syrup aroma, with some cereal malt and a touch of leafy hop. Initially quite a sweet, almost syrupy mouthfeel. Not a true green grape flavour in my opinion, it has a softer edge to it with no tartness at all. More honey-ish really. The mid-palate is clean malts, and the finish has a stemmy/leafy quality with light bitterness. This came across as an english pale ale with a sweeter-than-average profile. Interesting. riversideAK (2767), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 15, 2008 Orange gold with a thin lasting head. Aroma of caramel malt, maple syrup, light grape, and thats about it. Hmmm... light caramel and bread flavored malt accompanied by maple syrup and a odd floral hop flavor. Some "grape" comes through later on, but the most dominant additive in this one is the maple syrup. Rather light with medium carbonation. Not that good. Suttree (2740), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 28, 2008 Interesting - yeas, it seems grapey, which lends a winey note to it. But it seems more of an experiment than a viable beer. Ultimately just too sweet. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 14, 2009 Not really so much of a fruit beer, as the grape is quite subtle if apparent as grape at all. I took this as more of a brown ale / bitter blend, with a sweet, caramel, malty front, and a curious bitterness in the finish. Perfectly drinkable, especially for someone who likes a sweet palate.
