I ended up being alittle dissapointed. I did not really smell or taste much grape at all. It’s and average to mOK pale ale and that’s all. vyvvy (2059), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 8, 2008 This is pretty underwhelming. Pours copper with a pillow beige head. The aroma has muddied malt, odd fruit that doesn’t seem like grape, dust and some maple syrup. Medium crisp body at first then a syrupy slickness that seems odd for something with this light of a body. The taste is strange with maple syrup taking center stage. There is also some caramel malt and a hint of spice. The finish has some phenolic spice. This is interesting in description and may be okay as a homebrew fresh as can be, but as a mass market beer this doesn’t work for me at all. It sounded like it might be interesting, but didn’t deliver. jsquire (2107), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 16, 2008 Amber colored beer with a frothy off white head. Light sweet nose that I will say has green grape in it only because of the name of the beer. Boy, I just don’t get a lot of "fresh green seedless grape" in this. Sweet beer with light maltiness, breadiness, and a tart fruitiness that I guess could be grape. It seems like a pretty generic Pale Ale, with some non-descript fruit to it. jzzbassman (846), New Albany, Mississippi, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 27, 2008 Poured a clear yellow-gold with a small head. Aroma is a bit corny...no grape at all. Flavor is not at all like biting into a grape. More like a sweet ale with some musty notes. Not offensive but really pretty mediocre. JFURYCAT (791), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA

The sweetness of the grapes and malts equal too much sweetness. I read a forum post on not adding hops to cider and I see why. Some fruits don’t mix very well with beer. My blackberry wheat does kick this beer’s ass though IMHO. The body of this beer is decently carbonated and it has a nice feel which kind of makes up for its odd flavors. I hope this isn’t what the hop shortage will bring! allfreej (358), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Didn’t quite hit the Pale Ale mark nor was the grape flavor enough to get that fruit beer feeling. Refreshing, though, just a bit too light-bodied for my taste. Sorry I called it swill, but It just did not taste very good. Sweet malts, light bitterness, grape sweetness. meh. Beerman6686 (1287), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
