Descent Pale with a funky grape flavoring. It was odd and out of place. Hey, If I could brew it I’d have no problem drinking it. Congrats to the winner. Snojerk321 (2019), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 21, 2008 Bottle: The aroma is a combination of raisins, grapes, grain, and grass...a pretty unpleasant combo in my opinion. It pours a bright transparent amber with a moderate soapy off-white head. Weird combination of caramel and raisin up front. Finishes moderately grainy and lightly grassy. The flavors just don’t mesh and the graininess is very unpleasant. Light bodied with with mild carbonation. jeremytoni (1122), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

Flavor of sweet malt with not much of a grape flavor. Flavored with molasses, and ending with a quick finish. eaglefan538 (2399), Wilmington, Delaware, USA

The pour was golden in color, nice head and lacing, fairly typical, though for a PA. The aroma was grapes, sweetness, maybe a touch of wheat. The flavor was mostly grapes, light grassy hops, and some grains. Overall, the grape flavor was somewhat extract-y, not a killer great beer, but ok. Meh. 17thfloor (1507), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Typical Sam Adams sweet sticky malts with some flavors of grape-skins, but not merged in a congruent way. Nice idea... bad execution. wcampbell (582), Central, South Carolina, USA

A little bit of grape sweetness, but I am not really tasting any fruitiness. Light bodied, pale lager taste. Drinkable. My beer is way better than this. bozoNZ (505), Christchurch, New Zealand
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 21, 2009 330ml rich amber with a slight haze and the best head i’ve seen in a long time. Poupori of aromas, fruitsalad, wafers and a malt sweetness. Not sure I get the grape thing - maybe grapes imported in to NZ are different? A rich fullness in the mouthfeel, sweet but other notes that defy description. Grapes & maple syrup - only in America huh? cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Poured a clear, vibrant dark copper color with a medium thick bright white head and stringy lacing. Weak aroma of buttery bread and caramel No hop presence or fruit hints, which is odd considering this is a grape pale ale. Mild and filling with an airy finish that comes across as rather empty. Neutral flavor of creamy, nutty malt. Some notes of caramel and bread with an offsetting butter taste. Where’s the hops!? Where’s the grapes!? All of the flavors I was expecting never showed themselves, the beer itself is decent but doesn’t reflect it’s name at all.
