Aroma is medium sweet, corn, berry, some spicy. Taste is medium sweet, nectarine, wheat, toast, some grape, light orange. Finishes with the grape characteristic. Light-medium body, some effervescence. Suttree (2722), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 28, 2008 Interesting - yeas, it seems grapey, which lends a winey note to it. But it seems more of an experiment than a viable beer. Ultimately just too sweet. thegreenrooster (1829), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 15, 2008 Pour is a amber with a large white head. Aroma is some grainy malts mixed with a bit of citrus fruit. Flavor is more of the grainy malts and that’s about it. No real fruit taste and the label does say grape but darn if i can find any in this. Nothing really great in this one. Probably the worst of any of the Longshot beers i have had. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 21, 2008 12-oz bottle. Pours clear copper with a small, fizzy, white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, meal, cereal), average hops (flowers, grass, fruit), light yeast (earth) with notes of grapes. Light bodied, thin texture, average carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. SledgeJr (2960), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 18, 2008 In the bottle at the 2008 Crescent Moon Extreme Beerfest. Pours dark gold with a white head. The finish is a bit wine-like, but I don’t really get strong grape flavors. I don’t think that I understand this beer. Not something I’d recommend. biznizness (935), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 28, 2008 OK, I guess? Didn’t really feel the grape thing too much. I guess I was surprised this actually won. Not really worth going out of your way for. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 5, 2008 Clear amber orange, moderate head, pretty good lacing and retention. Aroma is somewhat grapelike with caramel malt and some grassy hops. Aroma to me was more neutral than anything. However, the grape flavor did not work well with what else was here. Quite quaffable, moderate to high carbonation, almost no bitterness, moderate sweetness. Trev (867), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 7, 2008 Pours a nice copper colour with an off white head.
Aroma was medium malt, almost a flat ginger-ale aroma, some light herbal hoppiness.
A bit flat tasting as well. Caramel maltiness balanced by a fruity bitterness.
