Aroma of dark fruit, malt, grape, and alcohol. Flavor and feel reminded me a bit of a dopplebock. Mouthfeel and palate were excellent. Enjoyed it more than I would have expected. Reddish brown with a thin head. Brandy aroma that is rich and alcoholic and has plum notes. I like the palate as it is doppelbock-ish, with its blend towards sweet ripe fruit. Early note of DMS leads to baked apples, caramel, and bread crusts. Sweet and sticky well-toasted malt and plum flavors. Impression is more like Munich than Maris Otter. Long toasty sweet finish. Passable, but lacks in depth and has too much residual sugar. This might have a prayer if they bottle-conditioned it.

Thick chewy caramel malt and some raw wortiness for flavors. A kiss of dark fruits with a fair amount of alcohol heat at the finish. It’s a very dark amber with a small tan head. Sweet malt aroma. When cold the alcohol shows thru the sweet malt. When it warmed the flavors of chocolate,caramel malt show thru. More enjoyable as it warmed.
