Commercial Description:
Created by Don Oliver, California. Don says that the blend of distinctive malts in his brew "offers a rich and malty taste that doesn’t overpower. It’s a full-bodied, heavy ale good for a winter night by the fire."

Slightly woody, some alcohol and a touch of fireball candy make up the aroma. Dark reddish brown in appearance with a head that has decent retention. Medium to full body with light carbonation. The taste is lightly warm, with some malt and a belgian quad-like flavor. Interesting.

Brown with red highlights and a tan head ...sweet malty aroma with caramel and sweet fruits...thick creamy body with a strong alcohol burst that smooths out a bit after opening(or im just getting used to it)...balanced nicely with hops and a malty sweet finish..

Dark red tinted brown pour, big bubbly light tan head. Earthy nose, big malty backbone with light hop aroma. Medium-full bodied, maybe a touch more carbonated than I would like. Flavor is a bit of spice up front, then malty sweetness, and a slight hop bitterness in the finish. Definitely the best of the Longshot bunch.

Dark ruby brown pour with a nice foamy off-white head and good lacing. Sweet malt aroma with notes of banana esters, some dark fruit and alcohol. Flavor has more nutty malts, esters, significant alcohol, prunes, and a tough of piny hops at the end. Creamy medium body with prickly carbonation.

This beer pours a deep crystal-clear ruby-brown with a small creamy off-white head that quickly fades. The aroma is of very strong malt, a twang of sourness and spicy alcohol. On the tongue, it’s thick, creamy and full-bodied. The carbonation is soft. The flavor starts sour and turns sweet. The rich malt flavor ends with a delicate hop bite. The aftertaste is not as drawn out as I thought it might be. Great drinkability!

Deep brown amber color with a medium off-white head. Aroma has raisins, bread, gum, bananas and nuts, no detectable hops. Rich body, very sweet, alcohol is well masked. Malts all the way. Would like to see more tobacco or light smoke flavors, or even hops, something to cut the sweetness a little bit. Otherwise this is a solid beer.
