Commercial Description:
2008. Created by homebrewer Alex Drobshoff. Alex’s Brew is a bright copper German inspired bock with a complex, full bodied mouthfeel. Hints of rich plum and cherry aromas paired with its toasty, malt flavor make this the perfect beer to linger over on a cool evening.

The aroma is nice earthy malts. The pour is deep brown with a red hue. The head was a small ring of tan bubbles around the edge of the glass. Very nice roasted malt flavor, just a touch of sweetness....not caramel.. which is what I usually expect sweet malts to taste like. Finish is slower, not clean. Pretty good.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-chestnut color with a huge red-khaki head. The aroma was sour, vegetal, tangy and malty. The flavor was fruity, tangy, bitter and richly malty with notes of caramel, nut and a touch of molasses. The finish was long, tangy, fruity and malty. The mouthfeel was moderately thick.

Big chestnut brown pour with huge head and some decent lacing. Strong aroma of smokey caramel. The flavor was big fruit and caramel with a touch of smokiness that is reminiscent of a scottish ale or a dopplebock. Rich and creamy mouthfeel. Not terrible!

Clear mahogany pour with ruby highlights. Khaki head leaves lavish lacing. Malty aroma of toffee and caramel, with spicy and floral hops and a note of dark fruits. Creamy carbonation. Lots of sweet bready malt flavor, dark fruits(figs and raisins), with spicy and earthy hops for balance. Very tasty.

Pours a deep chestnut color with a medium sized frothy tope head. Tastes of raisin, brown sugar, black cherry, and seven grain bread. Nose is slightly chocolaty which lingers on the back end of the taste as well as hints of weak coffee. Creamy mouthfeel with a medium length finish. Not bad.

Poured a plain brown color with okay head and good lacing. Aroma was lots bread and grassy some fruit in there as well. Flavor was much the same with some added chocolate and nuttiness in there. Mouthfeel was little sticky. Okay beer.
