Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

This beer poured out dirty brown with a decent small head. As soon as the cap was removed, the smell of bananas and cloves wafted out. Great carbonation for this style. Taste starts off strong of slight banana flavor and much stronger clove flavor but quickly retreats leaving a dry feeling on the tongue. Wish the flavor lasted just a little longer on this guy but overall a decent beer.

Pours a dark murky brown with quickly receding head. Moderate carbonation. Strong banana/cloves aroma, velvety, with strong, spicy, fresh, complex taste.

pours dark slightly cloudy brown with a nice lasting tan head. very nice banana toffee aroma with light clove notes and a touch of smoke. flavor just doesn’t quite live up to the aroma. sweet toffee raisin flavor leads into slightly bitter caramel and then a nice lasting spicy clove banana finish. medium body moderate almost lively carbonation. surprisingly great beer. If they made this year round I would buy it all the time.

Bottle. Dingy brown with a pretty big fizz up that dies down fairly quickly. I’m greeted by sweet aromas of brown sugar, cloves and dark fruit like figs. Flavors are more of the same, but cloves come out fairly strongly.

So I’m bringing down the average only because I’m not a huge fan of the weizen family. However, this beer was one of the better that I have had.

Bottle: Smells like banana and some sugar. Color is muddy brown along with a small head. Taste is a spicy, fuity, with yeast and malt flavor. Texture is thick but easy to drink. Over all a pretty enjoyable beer!

12oz. bottle. Aroma brims with yeast esters, featuring plentiful clove, bubble gum and banana, along with lighter notes of dark brown sugar, licorice, raisin and faint milky chocolate. Deep, murky reddish-brown color with a lasting, fine, khaki head. Fairly well bursts with flavor, the yeast again prominent and spicy with loads of clove and anise, mingling with the rich, darkly sweet malts and latent fruitiness, finishing with a light-moderate amount of bitterness. Palate is active and gently acidic, body is medium-full. Pretty tasty rendition of the style, and was the real reason I picked up the pre-mixed six-pack that comprises the LongShot package.

Bottle courtesy of lb4lb and pint_size. Banana and spice ester nose, light sweetness. Opaque cloudy brown with a brownish head that laces nicely. Mild flavor, lightly spicy and sweet. Drinkable but with a sharpness in the finish that leads to a sour and unpleasant aftertaste.
