Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

A murky brown appearance with a beige head. The aroma contains some sour grapes, chocolate, raisins, and nutmeg. The flavor is a little bit sour with some grapes, lemons, chocolate, caramel, and brown sugar. A bready presence in this one as well. Overall this was a good beer!

Hazy brown pour, thin fizzy head. Sweet malty nose. SOft clean mouth-feel, malty flavor. For me it was a little too much clove

12 oz bottle, best by July 2008. Murky brown with an of white head. Lots of clove and banana in the nose, wheaty with a bit of bubblegum. Medium bodied, good lace rings. Plenty of clove and banana in the flavor, too, with some caramel, toasty wheat and chocolate. Gets spicier as it warms. Really a nice job on this one. Peppery spice lingers in the finish. Good stuff!

This dark brown beer poured with a thin off-white head that dissipated quickly. There is a sweet herbal aroma. The flavor is caramel malt and spicy with a strong clove finish.

Pours an impressive cloudy reddish brown with a one finger frothy tan head. The aroma was very pungent and nice, banana nut bread, cloves, wheaty sourness, spicy. Similar flavor profile, spicy, banana, sour wheat, warm, clove and nutmeg. There was a slight offtaste that I can’t describe, a bit of a bite on the side of the tongue. Nothing major. Crisp and well carbonated. Very enjoyable brew, especially from SA.

Bottle. Pours a dark hazy brown with a beigh head. Aroma of banana, clove, light caramel, wheat, and notes of dark fruit. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavor is a wheaty dark malt, clove, banana, toffee notes, fruit and a bit of spice with a low bitterness. Good brew

12 oz, bb July 2008. Nearly opaque copper-chestnut with a three finger head that lasts and laces well. Aroma is spicy wheat, clove, banana-raisin bread, slight bubblegum and alcohol. Thankfully, the flavor has all the same components, plus toasted nut and slight chocolate. Medium-heavy body is smooth with some tongue tingle, and nice dryness on the finish. Cheers and well done, Rodney!
