Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

12oz bottle. Thick deep brown-amber color. Intense banana aroma. Sweet pungent taste with lots of banana flavors. A little more one-sided than most German Weizenbocks, but still very enjoyable. Mellows a little bit mid-glass, with some tasty malt characteristics complementing the yeast.

Bottled. Beer is clear, very dark brown. head is initially huge, off-white, frothy. Diminishes, mostly lasts.
The aroma is malty with moderate-to-heavy notes of decadent cookie, toasted grain, lighter notes of brown sugar and malt extract; Hoppy with light notes of flowers and herbs; Miscellaneous notes include light keys of tree sap/aspen bark/chicory, vanilla and wood. Nose is really sweet for what would be a leaner style.
The flavor is big. Light-to-moderately sweet, light-to-moderately acidic, lightly bitter with a long, lightly warm, trace acidic, lightly bittersweet finish. Dull bitterness in the aftertaste.
The body is medium the texture is watery-to-velvety and the carbonation is lively.

Thanks to KAggie97 for handing me this. Filthy brown pour with solid beer head. Aroma was flambéed bananas with caramelized sugar on top...yummy. A wash of more subtle bananas mixed with cloves covers the tongue on first taste. Mouthfeel is pretty straightforward. The finish is quick, but leaves a nice sugared malt taste. Thanks Kaggie!

Bottle from Bev Mo. Created a dark brown color that was very gloomy and hard to see through. The foam head on top was a perfect white layer of cream and almost mimicked how Guinness draught looks once poured into a glass. As for the nose, I found a delighting presence of true German styled yeast that had banana and clove that I began to drool for. The drink itself was easily quaffable and had a delicious banana and semi sweet malts that just hit the spot on a hot day. I can only imagine this beer tasting better from the tap. Nice job to the recipe maker and brewer for bottling it.

Bottle. Brown, hazy, small white head. Aroma is strong banana, and bread. Flavor is similar, not very yeasty, but full of banana and clove. Flavor is fruity, but full for a wheat beer.

12 oz bottle. Poured an opaque-ish brown with a decent head. Aromas of banana, clove, and some darker malts that was very pleasing and fairly strong. Taste is like a meal in a glass. With darker more prominent malt notes yet the esters and banana / clove feel of a weiss. Strong flavor and strong aromas leave me impressed by this beer, albeit unable to session this. Best of the Longshot brews this year in my opinion.

Cloudy brown pour with a half-inch white head. Bready, grainy malt aroma with a touch of clove.Sharp, tangy, earthy wheat flavor and a nice full body. Nice.
