| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 15, 2008 Unexpectedly delicious!!! When you purchase a sampler like this, you expect novelty, not quality. This brew stands on its own merits. Leaving the rim of the bottle, dirty/rusty tapwater is evident...but the fragrance reminds you you’re in for a treat. Heavy banana, clove, and sweet darker fruit follow. Extremely flavorful, nice moderate palate...a joy to drink. Rodney, I’m impressed!!! Hophead22 (1090), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2008 2008 Bottle - Slightly thick, aroma of malt fruit and bread, I was very surprised with this after the other longshot winner, light on the front end, but the flavour comes through - fruit, spice and yeast, mouthfeel is nice, it lingers with carbonation and alcohol, overall, pretty darn nice in my opinion... csbosox (1081), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 4, 2008 12oz bottle. Wow, this smells pretty good! Rich and spicy with cloves, dark fruit and banana. There is a floral aspect as well. Dark copper color with a one fingered, off-white head, gentle carbonation, and lots of clinging foam. Sediment is visible in the bottle. The taste is dark fruits, spice, cocoa, appropriate alcohol, and some banana bread at the finish. The finish is flavorful, but well balanced and very drinkable. Rich, full mouthfeel. What a wonderful beer, Rodney was very much deserving of this award. It strikes a balance in all aspects, the clove and fruitiness from the yeast is present but not overpowering, the same can be said for the malt character and really every other part of the beer. alexsdad06 (1081), Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 8, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy yellowish brown color with a large beige head that leaves sporadic lacing. The aroma is a nice combination of banana, cloves, yeast, caramel malt, and dark fruits. The flavor has more big banana taste with the yeast, cloves and other spices, caramel, and a hint of nuts. The alcohol just darts in at the end of the glass as it warmed. This is a solid beer and a thanks goes out to Rodney Kibzey for this one. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
