Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

Great one from the LongShot series. Murky amber-brown pour with a large tan head that settles to an inch in thickness. Splotchy lacing around the glass. An abundant aroma of wheat, raisins, brown sugar, banana and clove. Smells wonderful, very rich and inviting. Sweet and creamy on the palate, medium bodied and drinks with ease. Great flavor that is spot on with the respective style. Banana and figs mixed with some subtle dark fruits. Sweet brown sugar and dry wheat malt. Spicy clove and anise flavors round out the wonderful flavor. Well made, a great beer to be had.

Cloudy brown pour with a big creamy tan head. Lots of spice and fruit in the aroma. Nice sweet grain flavor with the spice and fruit coming through again. The alcohol was noticeable at first, but was warming as I drank more. Nice on the palate, well rounded. Seriously enjoyable!

Pours a brown color with a tan head. Aroma is of caramel malts, dark fruits, chocolate, clove, banana, and some wheat. Flavor is sweet up front with the dark fruits, clove, banana, and caramel malts. Has a nice dry finish with a lingering flavor. My favorite of the Longshots of the last 2 years.

Its good I tried this after the grape pale ale. Pours murky brown with a thick, creamy tan head. Nose is ripe banana, clove, brown sugar, toast; like a fresh banana bread. Thick mouthfeel. Great taste. Again like a banana bread, but with spicy hops, molasses, and bubblegum yeast esters. Did not expect such a good beer.

excellent..massively murky, ruddy brown body...aroma of banana, clove, and spice..flavor is hugely spiced, with large banana, walnut, and chocolate...hints of wheat as well...as a contest winner, this ranks supreme

A dark dark amber pour with a glorious cream tan head. The head lasts for 1/2 the beer. It smells of wheat and clove. The flavor is a strong clove with hints of fruit, and a bit of spice. The mouthfeel is creamy and frothy. The aftertaste is malty sweet and good. A really good beer. Great with steak. Small lacing on the glass.

Bottle, Hazy brown pour with a 2 finger thick tan head. Caramel malty aroma with hints of wheat and a mild fruit. The flavor actually shocked me, it was rather decent. Caramel, banana, clovey wheaty taste that was blended pretty well. Good contest winner, I hope they keep this around.
