Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

Bottle pours a bit like a prune juice hue with a nice big off white head with no lace. The aroma is banana-clove, some spice not otherwise specified, and vanilla. the flavor is malty, warming, sour in the finish, clove, some dehydrated banana bits, and rather well coordinated. The palate is cleansing yet rich. Overall, this is really a decent effort, but not my style.

Pours a dark, nearly opaque, mahogany brown color with a frothy, heavy looking tan head. This LongShot has a fairly intense aroma of yeast, alcohol, banana, smoked wheaty malts, and Belgian candy. This style of beer doesn’t produce my favorite beer aroma, but this brew has a very pronounced aroma regardless of personal taste. Flavor is very similar to the aroma, although reminds me more of an abbey dubbel than a weizen bock. Flavor blends heavy fruit flavors (plum and banana), heavy yeast flavor and heavy malt flavor. Nothing subtle in this bottle. Again, not my favorite style, and a little misrepresented by calling it a weizenbock, but still a pleasant flavor. Finish has a lasting sweetness and a slightly syrupy texture. I was very impressed by this beer, and although I don’t typically like weizenbocks, I thought this beer was a great representation of the style and a great offering from the Boston Beer Company.

pours a mahogany with a thin white head. aroma is candy sweetness and fruity-spicey hop. Backed by a sweet malt. Flavour transitions quickly through sweet roasty malt and alc into a yeasty wheat, then tart fruity bitterness.

Bottle: Smells like banana and some sugar. Color is muddy brown along with a small head. Taste is a spicy, fuity, with yeast and malt flavor. Texture is thick but easy to drink. Over all a pretty enjoyable beer!

Murky brown with minimal head. Aroma is a winner, a lot of clove and banana. A little more carbonation would help this out, the alcohol and really sweet malt are out of balance and not easy to love. Overall solid but not for me.

Cloudy copper color. Smell of banana nut bread, caramel, hops, malt and spice. Taste of hops, bananas, spice, nuts, dark fruit and bread/yeast.

bottle. pours a deep cloudy brown with a nice tan head on top. nose of banana, yeast, citrus, and leather. alcohol is present in the flavor as well as banana and caramel. theres some smoke in the finish as well. excellent head retention. I agree with bigtaster, the beer is well made but it just isn’t my style.

[Bottle, thanks Guerde] Pours reddish brown with a good sized light tan head. Aroma is very nice with a lot of banana, bubblegum and cloves. No surprises in the taste as it was very similar to the aroma--only a little weaker. Very smooth, but mouthfeel was a little thin and the finish a bit short. A solid beer overall.
