Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

Pours a cloudy brown, looks just brown in the glass with a tan head....tons of sweet clove on the sniff, some alcohol, and on a deeper sniff malty bananas...W.B. smells banana bread...medium sweet body...loaded with nanas from the first sip to the finish...mild malts and clove flavors....a nice clove and banana finish....it has a little creamy texture to it...a pleasure for the palate...nice lacing also

Sam Adams LongShot Weizenbock is a cloudy brown lager with a thin, leathery beige head with some oily bubbles. It leaves good lacing. It has a burly, grainy aroma that’s the slightest bit sweet. There are grassy hops and a woody spice in the nose. It’s pretty full bodied; fluffy, crunchy on the palate. It’s the slightest bit sweet on the tongue. There is a definite prune flavor. The bitterness is dark chocolate and some kind of berry. It’s like a brownie with gravy on it. Not for the faint of heart. This will put hair on your chest. Tastes rather like an ale.

12 oz. bottle to a large snifter. Poured a hazy, brown/amber color, with a foamy, off white/light tan tone that diminished slowly, leaving some nice, clinging lace. The aroma was a little bready, with notes of sweet, dark fruits, some spice as clove, and a touch of ripe banana. The flavor was a continuation of the aroma notes along with some tartness. Nice alcohol presense commingled well with the various flavor notes. The mouthfeel was creamy, with some light bitterness in the finish. A savory representative of the style.

Pours a clear brown with a substantial light brown head. Aroma of a classic weizen with some dark chocolate and burnt sugar character. Taste is sweeter than expected; roasted peanuts, toasted malt and popcorn. Strange, but really good.

Pours a transluscent murky brown/amber colour with a creamy off-white head that fades to a solid cap. The nose is full of banana/clove, fig and dark fruit aromas. The flavour is characterized by the typical banana/clove flavour along with spicy bubblegum yeast, cocoa, dark fruits, bready malts and wheat. There is some earthy caramel sweetness poking through as well, adding to the complexity. It is just bitter enough to keep it from being cloyingly sweet and the finish is nice and long. The booze is well hidden by ample flavour and body. The texture is creamy and medium bodied with low, yet sharp carbonation. It is certainly medium dry as advertized and nice representation of the style.

Thanks to some guy from Il for making this refreshing weizen bock. It has an amazing dark brown color with a thick tan head, but no laceing along the sides of the glass. The smell is full of clove and malted wheat with some hints of vanilla cream. Initially it has nice bitter flavor with some rich clove and dark fruit. You can really taste the malted wheat with clove that coats your palate. The finish is creamy and sweet with bitter clove. overall this is an awesome beer and extreamly refreshing.
