Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

Medium brown body with a light khaki head. The aroma has some strong bananas. There is also some plum and clove. The taste has a little bit of clove spice working with the banana peels. There is also some plum sweetness in the finish. A big brew that drinks easy. Nicely done.

Bottle and served in my Aventinus glass: A murky brown hue with an initial large foamy head which produced very good lace. The aroma has notes of toasted and caramel malts, banana, clove, lemongrass esters, walnut, and some floral hops. The taste is a lot like banana nut bread with a spicy and herbal finish. Some smoke and nutty qualities found as well. The mouth feel is smooth and refreshing with a medium body. Overall this is a very good example of the genre but sadly you need to buy the crappy grape ale to get this. Worth a try for sure if you can singles.

Sampled at Cellar’s WIne & Spirits weekly beer tasting in St Paul, MN. Part of the latest LongShot series that contained the grape pale ale. Pours a hazy brownish amber brew with a thin off-white head that has some spotty lacing. Aroma of multi-grain malt, yeast, cloves and plenty of ripe banana esters. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of bubblegum, banana esters, some cloves, wheat, yeast and a touch of cinnamon. Finish retains the banana esters that lingers around after the finish. Surprisingly, this was a pretty decent weizenbock. I would not mind seeing this one around longer.

Bottled. Poured a cool shde of murky deeper brown with a thick, well-retained cap of beige head. The aroma was complex and intriguing.. deep chocolate and banana notes, cloves, and a bit of bubblegum.. smelled creamy and decadent. "Creamy" and "decadent" describe the flavor and palate as well.. warm, spiked sweeter chocolates and bananas at the core paired with caramel (especially as it warmed) and dark spices (clove and nutmeg jumped out at me).. spicy, warm finish left an enjoyable impression. Heavier-bodied on the palate with just enough carbonation to move it along nicely.. well-balanced. Great beer!

This weizen bock pours a somewhat cloudy brown color form a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized beige foamy head, with quickly dissipating lacing. Aroma is malty and fruity, lots of caramel and sweetness with a touch of banana and clove. A medium bodied weizen bock. The malts are caramel and dark fruit, with more than a hint of banana and clove. Yet, there is still some wheatness to it. The hops are kind of mild, but floral. Nicely balanced with good carbonation. There is also a hint of smoke and nuttiness. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Poured a murky brown color with a large, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of ripe bananas, citrus fruits, light clove, caramel, and a bit of almond. Taste of more banana, citrus, clove, nuts, toffee, and earthy yeast. Light alcohol in the finish.
