Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

Really good, I was very surprised. After the grape pale ale I wasn’t expecting much. Full bodied and reasonably complex. Dark fruit flavors and armoa. Sweet, a little too sweet. Almost no bitterness.

Very malty aroma.....backed up by subtle hints of dark fruit and cloves. Flavor is solid malt....with notes of figs, cloves, bananas and some unidentified spice. Alcohol is hidden and mouthfeel is smooth.

Somewhat cloudy medium brown pour with little head. Aroma of semi sweet dark fruit , over ripe bananas and a hint of spice. Tastes pretty much how it smells. Mouth feel and body was a tad watery. ABV could have been ramped up as well. Overall pretty good but not amazing.

Pours a murky looking brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma of clove, banana, some fruit. Nice flavor, sweet with a bit of an alcohol bite at the end. copyright grimreeser

Sweet aroma of dark fruit, with a hint of roast underneath. Pours a nearly opaque dark brown, with a thin tan head. Sweet and spicy flavor, long finish of clove and banana. Touch of alcohol noticeable. Not bad for what is probably one of my least favorite styles.

Poured from bottle 5/2008. Gettin good vibes from the aroma - roasted malt, vanilla, caramel. Muddy brown with thin tan head. Very smooth malt flavor, along with caramel, brown sugar, banana, vanilla. Alcohol in back that lingers nicely. Even better as it warms. Kind of a German/Belgian hybrid. Well done, Mr. Kibzey.
