The smell is a really nice burnt hefeweizen aroma. A burst of spicy alcohol. You can smell that bubbly, Belgian aroma. Smoky with a hint of citrus/orange peel.
The taste has an initial burn of spicy alcohol. Second run of heavy, dark Belgian spice. A nice mellow citrus ends it. Some roasted wheat malts as well.
The feel is thick, and burns on the way down. A real milky, chewy thickness. A worthy, spicy Belgian drink. Nice and roasted; thick, strong and challenging. kassner (468), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA

It was a very cloudy, brown and milky beverage, carbonation just a tad too high, but big taste, sweet, spicy, and lingering. Not much head but a really complex beeras touted. graham515 (434), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Pours a murky brown into the glass with a small white head that doesnt quite last. The aroma is chock full of clove and bananas. This beer is quite flavorful and is full of toasted malts and undeniably strong yeast taste (That’s a positive)! Smooth across the palate, nice full body. Very balanced mribm (419), Hurley, New York, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Feb 26, 2008 Smells and tastes like a Belgian banana beer! I hated it! These beers that taste like the bubble gum in the Monkees trading cards in the 1960’s should be outlawed!!! At least throw a warning label on the bottle, stating that this "beer" (and I use the term loosely) tastes like a friggin’ banana! I hate banana beer and will never buy this again! It is a LongShot that I will buy this beer again! twindadplus2 (417), Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2008 Dark chestnut brown with a creamy, light brown head. Aroma is spicy and creamy malt. Flavor is rich with cloves and vanilla plus a bit of fruity sweetness. Full, creamy mouthfeel with a thick, malty finish. dyetube (415), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 15, 2008 This beer pours a dark cloudy brown with a medium tan head that really stays well! The aromas are bananas, cloves, figs and a floral bouquet. Wow this thing is complex! And tasty too! Medium body with banans, cloves and maybe licorice in there? This is an extremely well crafted beer. Rodney nailed this one right on the head! Go and grab one, quit reading! Cheers! TheOrange (414), Kent, Ohio, USA

I hope this is still about the same taste as it would have been a year ago. The pour is a dark mahogany, with a medium light brown head. Aroma is buttery and wheaty. The flavor is true to the aroma with a nice molasses character. The finish is slow and satisfying. Good beer. Crafty07 (393), Florence, Kentucky, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 12, 2008 This is what every homebrewer should shoot for when trying to create the perfect beer. Great color, lacing, aroma and wonderful fruit and clove flavor with a drying finish. The Bavarians would be very proud, Rodney!
Nice job!
