Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

Murky brown color with no head. Strong aroma of wheat, banana and cloves. All of those scream out in the flavor. A little cinnamon as well. Freakin delicious example of the style.

Pours a deep mahagony reddish brown with a lasting medium to small head. Aroma is on the sweet side with tons of caramel malts typical bana and dried fruits esters and a light phenolic vanilla as well but definitely skewed towards sweet and fruity. Flavor is also sweet and sticky with caramel malts, toffee, nuts, light chocolate, fruity esters, banana and fusel alcohols. Pretty smooth overall.

Bottle poured a cloudy brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of dark fruit, wheat, clove and light carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of dates, banana, clove and light carmel with a smooth lingering spiced finish.

12-oz bottle. Pours brown with an average, rocky, light brown head, somewhat diminishing with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, straw, nutty), light hops (grass), average yeast (dough, earth) with notes of banana and date. Full bodied, alcoholic texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Pours a hazy brown with orange/amber notes and a large foamy/creamy off white lacing head. Aroma of strong banana and clove, some dark fruits, toasted malt and nuts. Flavor of the same banana and clove, dark fruits, toffee, some nuts and toasty malt. Nice and smooth with a ton of flavor! If I made this beer I would be proud! If the home brewed version tasted anything like this...I could see why it won!

A well rounded beer. Very yeasty and malty with a slight hop finish. Nice dark reddish color and the head is decent, but doesnt last too long. Easy to drink.

Dark copper. Fair head. Banana and dusty chocolate smell. Sweet banana up front and baking soda in the back. Thin body. Chocolate, chalk and dust. No joy.

Bottle. Sweet peach/banana, clove and wheat malt with just a hint of alcohol. Cloudy orange-brown color with small head. Sweet ripe banana/peach, clove, and wheat malt flavor. Light alcohol aftertaste. A spectacular beer - they really need to make this a regular beer. I just automatically expect that US Weizens won’t match German ones but this is one that not only stands up to the style but exceeds my expectations. Thank God I found this beer.
