Nice dark reddish color and the head is decent, but doesnt last too long. Easy to drink. bb (2919), Martinez, California, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 28, 2008 Bottle. Sweet peach/banana, clove and wheat malt with just a hint of alcohol. Cloudy orange-brown color with small head. Sweet ripe banana/peach, clove, and wheat malt flavor. Light alcohol aftertaste. A spectacular beer - they really need to make this a regular beer. I just automatically expect that US Weizens won’t match German ones but this is one that not only stands up to the style but exceeds my expectations. Thank God I found this beer. All I can say is wow, I am glad I picked this up, it is excellent. A big suprise from Sam Adams. Aroma is of bananas, cream, clove, honey and alcohol. Poors with a large, light brown, extremely creamy head with exceptional lacing and great retention. Muddy brown body. Taste is malty with banana and sweet alcohol. A bit waterey and lively carbonated. Mouthfeel/palate, whatever you want to call it is the weakest part of this beer. Great stuff, if you see it, buy it! DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 25, 2008 Full roasted malt aroma, pleasing wheat too, cloudy brown, tiny toffee head. Flavour is a burst of roasted malt, lovely wheat kick too. Medium bodied, very well balanced, great mouth feel, entirely too easy to drink. Terrific! Thank You Torontoblue. beerinmarch (2810), Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Pours cloudy mahogany with a soft white head. Big banana estery nose, cloves and figs kinda jumped into my head. Smooth and rich on the palate, wheat body gives that soft and smooth feeling to this on the palate. after4ever (2773), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 1, 2009 12-oz. Thanks, Headbanger! Pours murky dark brown with a big, thick, creamy tan head and decent rings of lace. Big bubblegummy nose. Not really much else happening there. Creamy medium body. Brown bread, bubble gum, and a bit of watermelon on the mid-palate. Not far off Silver City’s weizenbock, but pretty far off the pleasures weizenbocks have to offer. This is kind of a doughy belgian ale, at best. That said, it has no flaws. It’s just that the recipe is kind of lost. DuffMan (2764), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
