Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

Muddy brown, vanilla coloured head. Delicious aromas and flavours of caramelized bananas, allspice, and wheat esters. Medium to full bodied. Very flavourful and delicious. Well done!

So, I poured this and took a sip. Then I asked The Bride to sample it. She said that it was really tasty. So then I asked her what she thought the ABV was. "I dunno", she said "around 10%, I suppose". Therein lies the only real problem I had with this beer. It is indeed tasty, with really nice fruity, spicy notes - a lot of banana, clove, whiskey, bubblegum, dark bread flavors. But man, did it seem alcoholly. Or maybe I’m just overly sensitive, like some sort of big baby. I wonder if this would age well?

12 oz bottle from Hollingshead Deli; Nose is bananas, cloves, bubblegum, and caramelly sweetness; cloudy brown with a big, glass-lacing, tan head; flavor is fruity, ripe bananas, raisins, and slight sweetness; the finish is slightly sweet with a little alcohol warmth, then slight bitterness.

The aroma is very good and quite sweet. The aroma has juicy fruit bubble gun, banana, candy sugar, and dark malt. The appearance is deep red with an impressive head. The flavor is like the aroma with cloves. The palate is smooth. Overall a good beer.

Bottle given to me by MaxxDaddy. Thank you sir. Beautiful pour, awesome head, with a muddy copper brown body that is completely unfiltered. Aroma is lightly metallic, wheaty (almost smells like its just begun germinating) with a touch of tomato and pure dark chocolate. The body is thick and perfect, though the beer is very slightly chalky. The flavor is slightly sweet and very grainy, and there a mild ethanol burn far into the finish.

Very cloudy dark brown body with a medium creamy off-white head that rapidly dissipates. Sweet banana and light clove aroma, some yeastiness. Very spicy flavor, some more light banana and clove, some caramel. Medium body with moderately low carbonation.

Bottle: The aroma consists of banana, cloves, bubblegum, and brown sugar. It pours a murky brown with some orange tint around the edges of the glass. It has a moderate off-white head that lasts a minute or so before fading to a film and leaves thin spotty lacing behind. The flavor starts has a strong caramel backbone with some light banana up front. It finishes with some light bubble gum, tangy wheat notes, nuts, and clove. Bubblegum and clove are left in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with a creamy mouth feel and soft carbonation.

Appearance: Pours a murky brown body with a full, foamy white head that soon settles. Smell: Aroma of spiced dark toffee and toasted wheat with sharp, clear-cut notes of bubblegum, bananas, and clove. Taste: Toasted wheat with some toffeelike sweetness. Some dark fruits. Sauteed bananas and chunks of bubblegum doused in alcohol and set ablaze. Strong cloves, a pinch of aniseed. Dry, spicy finish with a lingering clove aftertaste. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Chewy mouthfeel. Warming mouthfeel. Drinkability: Way to Bring It, Kibzey!
