Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

(bottle - 12 oz) Murky brown pour with not much of a head. Aroma is kind of light with some chocolate, banana, clove, and yeast. Flavor is spicy and yeasty at the beginning with a middle of some roasted malts, bananas, and a bit of chocolate near the end. Sweet and smooth when you drink it.

Murky brown color with a fluffy biege head. Nose of bananas, brown sugar and some clove spice. Lots of banana in this one, with brown sugar, raisens, plum, and hot spicey cloves and alcohol. Almost too hot. Finish has an odd orange zest bitterness to it. Strikes me as a little harsh.

deep dark cloudy opaque brown beer that looks like mud. the head is large, creamy and tan. aroma of clove, banana, burnt toffee, and bubblegum. flavor is very much the same and is loaded with spices(clove, cinnamon), brown sugar, and overripe bananas. nice full bodied palate with a creamy texture. wow, this really is impressive stuff! --re-rate-- 9/20/09. damn this an unbelievably good beer. it has taken on a burnt marshmallow flavor after almost 2 years. the palate has become extremely full and smooth. wow is about all i can say. great beer to cellar. i’m sad that i didn’t save more of this. quite possibly my favorite beer of all time.

Pours very murky dark brown with a large light tan head. The aroma has candied bananas, rich wheat malt, cream, cloves and other spices. Medium / thick rich body with semi-soft carbonation. The flavor begins with medicinal taste that is a bit thin, some bananas and a bit of sweetness - not nearly as rich and inviting as the aroma. The finish has come clove and heavier on the richness than the initial taste. Okay for the style.

Darker cloudy brown appearnce but certainly not on the black side of dark. Hefty wheaty aroma, has a little volatile punch to it, like any good w bock. Has gunk on the bottom that leads to a swirling hypnotizing visual effect when you near the bottom of the bottle. Good wheat flavors with the typical spices feel. You can tell it is above average in the alky content but it does not come across like the +7% listed here. The only hint of the alky content is on the finish where it has some malty alky medicinal linger, somewhat like cough medicine.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy dark brown color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma was sweetish, yeasty and malty with notes of banana. The flavor was sweet, tangy and fruity with strong notes of citrus and banana and a light hints of clove and bubblegum. The finish was long and malty with banana and bubblegum lingering. Wonderfully complex.

12oz. bottle. Aroma brims with yeast esters, featuring plentiful clove, bubble gum and banana, along with lighter notes of dark brown sugar, licorice, raisin and faint milky chocolate. Deep, murky reddish-brown color with a lasting, fine, khaki head. Fairly well bursts with flavor, the yeast again prominent and spicy with loads of clove and anise, mingling with the rich, darkly sweet malts and latent fruitiness, finishing with a light-moderate amount of bitterness. Palate is active and gently acidic, body is medium-full. Pretty tasty rendition of the style, and was the real reason I picked up the pre-mixed six-pack that comprises the LongShot package.

Pours a murky looking brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma of clove, banana, some fruit. Nice flavor, sweet with a bit of an alcohol bite at the end.
