Mar 11, 2008 Dark chestnut brown with a creamy, light brown head. Aroma is spicy and creamy malt. Flavor is rich with cloves and vanilla plus a bit of fruity sweetness. Full, creamy mouthfeel with a thick, malty finish.

May 13, 2008 Muddy brown, vanilla coloured head. Delicious aromas and flavours of caramelized bananas, allspice, and wheat esters. Medium to full bodied. Very flavourful and delicious. Well done!

Apr 13, 2009 Cloudy thick pour. Dark with a nice head. Aroma is wheaty and light citrus. Malty caramel and some spice. Taste is smooth and rich, wheat bread, caramel mlats and molasses. Very good, can’t find a bad flavor there.

May 28, 2008 Its good I tried this after the grape pale ale. Pours murky brown with a thick, creamy tan head. Nose is ripe banana, clove, brown sugar, toast; like a fresh banana bread. Thick mouthfeel. Great taste. Again like a banana bread, but with spicy hops, molasses, and bubblegum yeast esters. Did not expect such a good beer.

Mar 24, 2008 Sweet smell on the toss, has that typical and wonderful weizenbock smell, bullseye on the nose .... Great Head and proud german with socks and sandals lacing .... is very nice and full on the first sip... a damn fine example of the weizenbock genre!.... next time, just include one grape pale and the rest this beauty! ..great stuff!...

Apr 26, 2008 Updated: Jun 14, 2008Bottle. Pours a muddy, amber, large tan head. Good weizen aroma, some hints of banana, yeast, dark malt and hint of citrus and clove. Taste is good, dark maltiness. A hotness or overly spicy tone really stands out here. Bold, creamy, full flavor and body. One thing that detracts from the overall score is the wierd, spicy bite. I prefer my weizen bocks a bit more on the smooth, malty side.

Mar 14, 2008 pours dark slightly cloudy brown with a nice lasting tan head. very nice banana toffee aroma with light clove notes and a touch of smoke. flavor just doesn’t quite live up to the aroma. sweet toffee raisin flavor leads into slightly bitter caramel and then a nice lasting spicy clove banana finish. medium body moderate almost lively carbonation. surprisingly great beer. If they made this year round I would buy it all the time.

Feb 19, 2008 Bottle. Poured a cloudy light brown body with thin head. Aroma is nutty, cloves, spices. Flavor is smokey, nutty, cloves, light fruit and earthy yeast. Went down smooth. Very enjoyable.
