| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 5, 2008 Aroma: Powerful. Bubblegum, banana, banana chocolate chip muffin, lemon, biscuit, sweet cigar tobacco, and tangerine scents. Very good smell.
Appearance: Cloudy. Dirty, medium brown color. Large amount of thick beige head. Nice lacing.
Flavor: Strong flavors. Sweet start but very dry finish. Generally tastes like it smells. Perhaps a bit too sweet. Quite spicy: Clove, cinnamon, and white pepper.
Palate: Long, surprisingly parchingly dry, lightly bitter aftertaste. Light to medium body. Smooth and lively in the palate. Easy to drink.
Overall: Sam Adams LongShot Weizenbock is a very good, satisfying beer. It is reminiscent of a Christmas ale in its spiciness and dryness. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle. Thanks to tennisjoel for this bottle. The last two Boston Beer Company products I’ve tasted (Imperial Pilsner and this) have been excellent. SuperDave70 (1158), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA

Notably clove and banana. Nice sweet grain flavor with the spice and fruit coming through again. Nice on the palate, well rounded. Seriously enjoyable! cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Great one from the LongShot series. Murky amber-brown pour with a large tan head that settles to an inch in thickness. Splotchy lacing around the glass. An abundant aroma of wheat, raisins, brown sugar, banana and clove. Smells wonderful, very rich and inviting. Sweet and creamy on the palate, medium bodied and drinks with ease. Great flavor that is spot on with the respective style. Banana and figs mixed with some subtle dark fruits. Sweet brown sugar and dry wheat malt. Spicy clove and anise flavors round out the wonderful flavor. Well made, a great beer to be had. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 30, 2008 Pours a transluscent murky brown/amber colour with a creamy off-white head that fades to a solid cap. The nose is full of banana/clove, fig and dark fruit aromas. The flavour is characterized by the typical banana/clove flavour along with spicy bubblegum yeast, cocoa, dark fruits, bready malts and wheat. There is some earthy caramel sweetness poking through as well, adding to the complexity. It is just bitter enough to keep it from being cloyingly sweet and the finish is nice and long. The booze is well hidden by ample flavour and body. The texture is creamy and medium bodied with low, yet sharp carbonation. It is certainly medium dry as advertized and nice representation of the style. Pastor (534), Maine, USA

Aromas of wheat (Belgian yeast) bubblegum
Bananas and spice
Flavors are the same as the nose
Mouthfeel is medium to full and creamy on the tongue
A great homebrew, I think is worthy of being in the box. I wish that they brought this one on to there line up, it would be an awesome seasonal

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 26, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown, cloudy pour with a foamy, off-white head with good lacing. Aromas of wheat, prunes, cooked rice, caramel, and banana. Nice roasted malt flavor with minimal hops profile and the start. Banana candy and other fruits materialize and it finishes with a crisp, hoppy, bitterness. Great beer...wish it weren’t paired with that shitty dog-fart grape stuff. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 21, 2008 Bottle. Spicy aroma with a hazy amber. Light on the palate and not at all syrupy. There is an intangible herbal element. Great interpretation of a style not attempted enough in the USA, tmoreau (601), Lombard, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 27, 2009 12 oz. bottle to a large snifter. Poured a hazy, brown/amber color, with a foamy, off white/light tan tone that diminished slowly, leaving some nice, clinging lace. The aroma was a little bready, with notes of sweet, dark fruits, some spice as clove, and a touch of ripe banana. The flavor was a continuation of the aroma notes along with some tartness. Nice alcohol presense commingled well with the various flavor notes. The mouthfeel was creamy, with some light bitterness in the finish. A savory representative of the style.
