Commercial Description:
Created by Rodney Kibzey, Illinois Rodney describes his wonderfully complex brew as "deep amber in color with a full creamy body and a dark fruit and clove aroma." This traditional Bavarian style brew took Rodney a few batches to perfect, but the taste is worth all of his hard work.

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown with medium beige head. Aroma is lovely, full of fruit and lots of banana and clove. Flavor is wheaty, somewhat yeasty, with distinct spiciness throughout. Somewhat sugary at times but comes to a dryer finish with lingering spice. Has a good mouthfeel, one I’ve come to expect from the style, with an alcohol warmth that sneaks in. Overall pretty darn good stuff I wish I could get it solo the 3 bottles I had I don’t think were enough.

Pours cloudy, brown, with a large, tan head. Aroma is wheat, roast, fruit, and caramel. Flavor is dark fruit, honey, caramel, very complex. Mouth feel is moderate.

Bottle. Glad to see this one rated highly. Pours a beautiful, cloudy tea-brown with an aroma of chocolate covered banana, and a hint of raspberry. Tart clove greets the taste buds, quickly followed by his buddies caramel and sweet molasses. These friends leave a wake of nice thick and tangy film on the tongue. Very refreshing and tasty beer. Definite repeat.

Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of cloves and bananas. Lots of spiciness on the first sip, but the beer evetually yields a nice bit of toffee and molasses. SA did a good job with this one.

Opaque even brown with huge dimpled tan head. Aroma is a bit spicy with cola notes. Clove and banana in the taste with raisiny character and medium-high residual sweetness. Fantastic, especially when compared to the other longshot brew in the box.

this ber is pretty damn good. Dark, sweet and fruity. Smells like bananas - finishes the same. A nice brew. Sam Adams has a hit with this ’long shot’ deal.

Cloudy reddish brown beer with a thin white head. Some perfumy banana and chocolate in the aroma. Thick and syrupy brew with a strong note of extra sweet banana, almond, black strap and chocolate. Very nice.

Woot! First review! Deep murky brown color with thin head an little lacing. Strong clove and fruit aroma. The flavor follows suit with rich dark fruit over a wheat base and lot a small amount of clove. Rich and creamy. Nice job, Rodney!
