Really strong aroma of banana, clove, and bubblegum. Wow, this is exactly what I’m looking for in a weizenbock. The taste was strong on banana at first, with some lemon, clove, and yeast making up the finish. The mouthfeel was a little thin, but other than that this beer is one of the better that I’ve had from this style, and with the low pricetag I’ll definitely buy some more. Great beer Rodney! rustychiles (1067), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Aroma of cloves, bananas. Taste of wheat, bananas, spices, fruit and a little yeast. Best Sam Adams beer i’ve ever had, bravo! BOLTZ7555 (1113), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 15, 2008 Unexpectedly delicious!!! When you purchase a sampler like this, you expect novelty, not quality. This brew stands on its own merits. Leaving the rim of the bottle, dirty/rusty tapwater is evident...but the fragrance reminds you you’re in for a treat. Heavy banana, clove, and sweet darker fruit follow. Extremely flavorful, nice moderate palate...a joy to drink. Rodney, I’m impressed!!! esjaygee (1581), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 8, 2008 Mud colored with a tan medium head. Aroma of yeast, banana, clove, fruit and roasted malts. Tastes of banana, clove, cinnamon, brown sugar and sweet malts. All of that mixes together to make a pretty interesting beer. Mild bitter aftertaste. Good stuff. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 27, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a darker cloudy brown with a nice-sized tan head. The aroma is the banana/cloves that you expect out of a Weissbier. The taste is the same, with the flavors supurbly balanced and yet very pronounced. To me this is a perfect imitation of a German Weissbier. The color is actually misleading, I’ve had German Dunkelweiss, and this is more like a normal weiss with a different color. Altogether very enjoyable and very well-done. On a side-note, props to Boston Beer Company for supporting homebrewing! vikingbeercbus (34), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Bottle. Enjoy goofy hand-drawn cover art. Even more pleased with the beer itself. Malt aroma, cloves. Mahogany brown, quarter inch head. Thick palate, undertones of fruit. Strong brew, scored with my boyfriend after sharing this beer. Recommended, top notch for a macrobrewery. Poured a medium to deeper and cloudy brownish color with a huge sized off white head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, wheaty, and I was getting some smoked meat in the background (took me a while to place it). Tastes of bananas, citrus, lighter spices, and some dark fruits.
