Tyler is right that it could be thicker on the palate, but a lot of weizenbocks are thin like this. It is brown in color, and there is abundant wheat and banana. Lots of fruit and some sugar. Really good, and its great to see them do this style that few brewers attempt. Silphium (2144), Haslett, Michigan, USA

Creamy, estery body, with notes of banana, clove, chocolate, and caramel. Soft, complex, and well-balanced. A fine beer and testament to the brewing talents of its author and homebrewers everywhere. Kudos to participants in this contest. I really like this beer. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA

Meaning drinkable and I feel lucky I am still alive. But as it warmed, it was better. Very dark. Poured beautifully. Dark Hazy. I enjoyed it. Some vinuous in the finish. Hangover (771), Atlanta, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Hazy dark brown pour with a creamy, and lasting, light brown head. Aroma has a lot of banana and clove and a bit of cherry/date. I’m gonna call it full bodied. Creamy mouthfeel, medium carbonation. More banana in the flavor but there are also discernable wheat and yeast notes. Light chocolate and dark fruit in the finish. Pretty complex and really tasty. I like this style and this is a great example. SledgeJr (2972), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Ecru head. This little treat has lots of big esters. The bananas are HUGE in this. Lots of fruity dark raisins in the flavor. I really like this a lot. Pailhead (2606), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Bottle: The aroma consists of banana, cloves, bubblegum, and brown sugar. It pours a murky brown with some orange tint around the edges of the glass. It has a moderate off-white head that lasts a minute or so before fading to a film and leaves thin spotty lacing behind. The flavor starts has a strong caramel backbone with some light banana up front. It finishes with some light bubble gum, tangy wheat notes, nuts, and clove. Bubblegum and clove are left in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with a creamy mouth feel and soft carbonation. TheBeerOrg (1586), Kentucky, USA
